Rich historic stories abound in the rooms and the environment, shopping and entertainment are close at hand and staff are very accessible to answer questions and provide good service. And the trout I had late one evening in the saloon was exceptional.

This hotel was conveniently located downtown which made for easy walking distance to all food and shopping which was 1.5 blocks away. It was also right off the main route 550 which goes through town. The two women at the front desk that we spoke to were very nice and helpful with food and attraction options. The downside to this hotel was that the beds and pillows were just ok and there wasn’t really a continental breakfast even though it says that there is. When we asked for breakfast the first morning we were pointed to a corner in the lobby with hot water, coffee and oatmeal packets…this is not what I consider a continental breakfast! The positive side is that there is a grocery store right across the street and many small (great) coffee shops just a block away. We did not have time to go to the pool or hot tub, but they looked nice and clean. The hotel was quiet, the rooms were cleaned and beds made every day and the hotel was inexpensive enough that I would stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay at this conveniently located hotel. It is undergoing construction but the managed to provide all services including hot and cold breakfast. Loved the hot tub and pool. Especially loved the quiet heater--slept wonderfully. Spacious room. I'd go back

The largest town in southwest Colorado, Durango features a downtown that is a Nationally Registered Historic District and a rail line--the scenic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad--that has been continuously active for over 125 years. The self-proclaimed Napa Valley of Beer town is also considered ideal for brewing beer with its readily available first-use water and four microbreweries.
