I loved my experience here. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nice, and very clean. This is right next some night clubs and bars. The sky walk is close and can take you anywhere downtown in the winter. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel with great vibe. Interesting history and architecture. Concept well done. Dog friendly.
We had really only 3 concerns, which given the price have to be considered major:
1. We had an internal room without any natural daylight - it was a dungeon. If we had had to stay more than a night this would have been totally unacceptable
2. The mattress of the king size bed was horrible. Any movement of the bed partner is fully transmitted to the other side. If one person can't sleep for any reason, the other can't either.
3. Valet parking is convenient, but the price of $40 is pure extortion.
Would we stay there again? Probably. But would ask for a room with daylight and two Queens.

Overall this hotel is very nice! The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed access to the health club (although wish there was a hot tub!) The room was very well appointed and clean. We didn't like the pillows (not very supportive) and the heating fan ran all the time so they room felt very dry. This is a good location close to many attractions!

Changing to "The Graduate Hotel" come December. I wasn't recognized as an Expedia Gold member, wasn't offered VIP hotel perks like the last time I was there. Kind of disappointing, though I do like the feel of this hotel. The food is decent, best in walking area, nice restaurant staff.

Check in/check out was easy. They were even able to check us in 4 hours early after a long drive. The hotel was undergoing some construction, so it was a little loud during the day, but quieted down long before we were ready for bed. The room had a mini refrigerator and a microwave that were very helpful, as we were traveling on a budget.

North of the Mississippi River, this area has seen its share of artists, mobsters, and politicians. Visitors catch musicals, museum exhibits, and hockey all within a few blocks of the Xcel Energy Center. Not far from the state capitol, Lowertown is home to artist collectives. Noteworthy architectural sights include St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral and Summit Avenue’s Gilded Age mansions.
