"Beautiful setting, excellent food & friendly staff"
We spent a week here on our 1st trip to Dominica. The room, grounds & common areas are very well maintained, as well as being very well equipped. The food is excellent, lots of tasty options, recommend the breakfast burrito and for lunch/dinner the Fish Tacos. As well as a beautiful location, grounds and food, the key reason we will be returning is the owners/team who strike the perfect balance of being on hand with help (hire cars/routes/beach recommendations) with giving you the space to fully relax in your private cabana & the grounds, truly well done. Can't wait to go again!

"A little disappointing, but a wonderful location"
I am really torn about this hotel. On the positive side, I found the area to be wonderful and there was something just really relaxing and clear about the air in Calibishie. It was great to have all the windows and doors open and just experience the atmosphere of the island, and the room was very conducive to that. In general, the room itself was really nice. Wonderful hot shower, lovely bathroom, nice kitchen area, and I thought it was nice that the bed was equipped with a mosquito net. Also, the owners were very friendly; so I am not so sure about the reviews that say otherwise. That being said, there were a few things that bothered me about this place. First, their internet was unusable for half of my stay, and the TV seemed to have all of five working channels. During the day, I don't see this as being a problem, but at night I like to relax and catch up with friends with the friendly sounds of the TV in the background- and for the amount I paid I don't think that that is so much to ask for. More importantly, however, I didn't find the staff to be all that welcoming or helpful. At one point, I stood at the front desk for about 5 minutes waiting for some help, and eventually I had to actually search out a staff member myself. She was sitting in the Staff Only Area laughing and talking with her friends.

"Beautiful resort with amazing staff"
My new wife and I were extremely surprised at how nice this facility is. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are great, grounds are clean, restaurant is amazing, and nice nature to explore. Things to note: -you can not swim in the ocean use to its roughness -the stay is quite expensive due to travel costs on island and food prices-prices are reasonable for service, just expect to pay a lot of money -the closest town is quite a drive Overall it was an amazing experience. I can't over emphasize the friendliness of the staff, very amazing people.

"Excellent location, staff, and affordability"
Estefan and Flor (managers) were excellent in every way. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We were in one of the cottages (2nd level) and loved the porch (amazing view and great birdwatching). We enjoyed the long walk through the Forest Reserve and the waterfalls and pools. The 2 resident dogs were very friendly. The location of the retreat is outstanding. We went on daily excursions around the island. It was only a 40 minute drive to the airport. We had a 4x4 vehicle, so the 14km drive up the rough road was no problem for us. There were some other visitors who arrived by taxi and the taxi driver refused to drive up the road. No problem. They called Estefan, and he drove them to the retreat. If you crave quiet nights, comfort, and privacy, this is the place for you. We ate all our morning and evening meals at the retreat. Flor is an amazing cook.

"Nice but quiet"
We had a great time at Sunrise Cottage Farm. The view from the cottages is breathtaking. The cabins are new and well equipped and the overall property well maintained. We enjoyed being close from the pool as it can be a long walk from some units. The service was good and professional. We felt not much was happening in the resort. It was very quiet. Good place for families.

Dominica is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Dominica, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Dominica hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
