In the centre of town next to the main train station made our stay easy. We travelled with two teenagers and the 2 bedroom room was massive. Bedrooms separated by a huge lounge room. We walked to all the markets and main shopping areas. The location was quiet and central. Breakfast was a variety of choices but nothing fancy.
Our checkin was extremely friendly and made us feel like we had know them for years.

Stayed for a long weekend at Glo Art - the staff welcome was full of smiles. All staff met very helpful. The room exceeded expectations and the breakfast was delicious. Had one evening meal at the hotel and that was marvellous. Selected the hotel due to its location in the design district and because it looked unusual - a hotel with history. Easy for me to walk to the Sinebrychoff Art Museum which was the main reason for my visit to Helsinki, as it houses a portrait of one of my ancestors.I am the first member of my family to see it, so for sure I will return with them and hope to stay again at the wonderful Glo Art hotel. As my weekend fell on Sauna Day - very much enjoyed the experience of the hotels on site sauna. Good wifi connection and desk area in room which was good for working at. Peaceful room!

This was my 4th visit to Lahti in 3 years, but my 1st as a fully independent traveller - not relying on friends. I wanted to attend the winter sports weekend - ski jumping and cross country ski-ing - so a hotel in the town centre was a must have. I was not disappointed with my choice. I was delighted to find that many of the winter sports teams had also chosen this hotel as their base for the weekend, so this made the experience all the more enjoyable. Staff speak English very well, so this made conversation very easy.....as my Finnish is almost non existant.
As I had made arrangements to meet many of my Lahti friends throughout the weekend, I didn't make use of the hotel facilities as much as I could have done. On the 1 occasion which I used the restaurant during an evening, the snack which I had ordered (which filled the whole plate) was well cooked and served in very good time - fortunate as I had a tight schedule. I could not fault the quality of the food or the service of the staff.
Lahti town centre is a few minutes walk from the hotel. There are many fast food chains, restaurants, pubs and clubs to choose from if you want to socialise.
The weather - as expected - was predominantly overcast, cloudy and snowy at times, but that is to be expected in March. 1 highlight of my visit was walking across the ice in the marina area, which was still frozen.
A thoroughly enjoyable visit, and I hope to return in 2017 for the Nordic World Championships.

Good centrally located with easy access to all amenities. Large group from overseas staying in Lahti for a wedding and the hotel was very helpful in arranging transport and late checkout. Easy access to hairdressers etc. without having to go outside.

We stayed here for three nights to coincide with a visit to our family who live nearby. The hotel is beautifully located on the coast within a 10 minute drive of Porvoo (and 40 minutes from the Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport). The hotel was busier during the week with a lot of business customers and at the weekend this changed to tourists (particularly bikers when we were there). Our room was air-conditioned and very comfortable with a sea view. The breakfast was buffet style, with a range of beautiful freshly baked bread. The breakfast room become quite busy and felt a little cramped at busy periods, so an early breakfast is advisable. The swimming pool/spa complex is very good, again get there early! Breakfast and pool opening times were later on the Sunday, which made everything much busier as people wanted to get on with their day.
