We enjoyed our stay at this property. Charming hotel with history and close to many tourist sites. The only problem we had was with the parking situation. The parking garage is being repaired and we were not informed about parking outside since we have a higher vehicle and touching the steel beam supports in the garage.

This property is in the heart of the action - Byward Market, Rideau Canal, Parliament buildings, War Memorial and connected to the shopping mall. Can't get any better than that. Facilities are great and the squash court had a basketball hoop for my son to play in...worked out great!

Good size room facing the water with a balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had some difficulty staying connected to the internet but that was the only issue. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is overall good. Clean, great staff location is good too. The only drawback in our view was the fitness centre was really lacking. So if that's important to you then it may be an issue. Although the pool did look good.

Check-in was quick. Room was very large with two large windows, king bed, and a well-equipped kitchenette (2 burners and a full-sized fridge). Provided buffet breakfast (scrambled eggs or egg whites, varying meats, roasted potatoes, waffles, tortilla shells, fruit/cheese/yogurt, bagels/bread, coffee/tea) was very good. Internet was fairly fast. Would definitely stay here again.

It was our second stay in this hotel and everything was fine. We had no problems checking in and they were very nice to us.
When we got to our room there was a strong bleachy smell that was a bit nauseating. We had to open the window to vent out the smell.
Unfortunately they had a planned water shut off for the next day starting at 8:30 AM. Because of this, we had to wake up earlier than planned so that we could use the bathroom and shower. After we came back from breakfast we couldn't use the bathroom or brush our teeth since the water had been shut off. This was unfortunate.
