Wonderful hotel and staff. The room was clean and we had the most beautiful view of the garden. Easily accessible to everything. We loved the gift shop, spa and restaurant.
My only complaint was the pool. It's an indoor/outdoor pool on the rooftop. For late July (90 degree weather), the water was ice cold. I would have expected inside the building to be heated but the building was freezing. Even with the sun out, my kids were too cold to swim and I noticed this to be an issue with others. This was disappointing because it's one of the main reasons we booked here. I hope they fix this problem in the future.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. Our stay was very quiet all three nights. My only disappointment is how many people from the condos behind the hotel come and use the pool. Paying guest could not get a lounger or chair as they were all taken by people with many children walking over from condos and coming in through the gates. We watched it over and over. At one point as they all left, the pool was empty finally. They tended to stay for hours. Two families had play pens, strollers, fast food containers, and ice chest. There is a sign that says the pool is for registered hotel guest. The hotel needs to enforce that.
Overall, the hotel is nice and located in a great location for our needs. We will stay there again but we will not plan on using the pool.

Staff was great. Saw a suspicious brown mark on my comforter as well as a tear in one of the 'squares' on the comforter. Wish the ice machine was on each level instead of downstairs at the breakfast bar. I happened to stay while renovations or repairs were going on which is fine. As someone says somewhere, "the show must go on" so I don't expect them to close their hotel because of minor, and reasonably timed, remodel. Bedding rips in the washer and dryer all the time so I'm not turned off by this hotel at all. The brown spot though... Anyways, I was hoping for little things, such as a toothbrush/tooth paste, makeup removers, and/or a robe. This is my 3rd time staying at Aloft for a reason. The first time, however, was on Halloween Eve and the suite next door got pretty crazy and a not very sober fight broke out, the hotel ended up surprising me a few weeks after I checked out with a 50% reimbursement for the inconvenience. I guess they saw just how crazy it got in the room beside me.

This was just a short overnight on our way to California (31hr drive) but I cannot remember anything of any real negativity about the room at all. I don't remember there being an elevator, so that could be an issue for some. The room was a little snug as we got just a single queen bed, and would have been cramped for a longer stay, but everything was just as expected for cleanliness and features. The traditional Microtel window seat was so handy for our luggage.
The front desk girl couldn't match the price I could get online, so I just booked the room myself standing right in front of her. Breakfast was more than just cereal and pastries, they had hot biscuits and gravy the morning we were there, fruit, yogurt, several different breads for toast, bagels, and a little more. Certainly a great value!
