"Excellent location and front desk staff"
To start off, be aware that this is an older property and the guest rooms are dated and could definitely use a renovation. With that said, it was as clean as it could be made to be. Yes the carpets were somewhat worn, and yes there were mold (?dark?) stains over the shower head, and yes the lotion-holders were falling off the wall, so if you're expecting a 5-star place to impress someone, this isn't it. However, the bathtub itself was spotless, the sheets and towels were nice quality and clean, the front desk staff was very polite and accommodating, and the free breakfast was very good (hot items like eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, fried potatoes, biscuits, waffles/pancakes; cold items like pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. -- huge selection.) Overall, I felt it was fine, and the location was extremely convenient for attending shows at the Maryland Theater. Cost-effective.
One odd thing -- I asked a maid in the hallway for more towels. I can understand not speaking English, but I would think a maid would know the word "towels" in several different languages. She just looked puzzled and said something in another language. I asked "bath towels?" and she still didn't know. On our way out we asked the front desk and the towels were there when we returned after dinner.
Funny thing - the shower had two dispensers on the wall - one labelled "shampoo" and the label had fallen off the other. Someone had written "other sh**" on the second dispenser. LOL.
