We had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental Montreal. My husband and I stayed two nights - the hotel was beautiful and the room itself was clean, quiet, and updated. Staff was friendly and professional. This hotel has an excellent central location - we walked to Old Montreal, Atwater Market, Crescent area, and Museum of Fine Arts with ease.
We wished we'd had time to try to bar and restaurant located within the hotel - they both looked excellent. The hotel is also connected to a metro station/underground mall, with shops, cafes, and a Starbucks - super convenient.
Price was reasonable for the quality of the hotel. Parking is paid for separately at a per day rate, but that's par for the course when you're staying in downtown Montreal. We would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Chelsea Hotel and we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. For such a large hotel everyone we met was so welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient, probably not worth $25 but the quiet lounge area was pleasant.
It was a long walk to the Air Canada Centre, we took a cab back.
