First of all, we had a great rate through Expedia. Thank You.
This Hotel needs renovating, which I was told they are under going with the new owners. I believe they were short staffed and were having trouble with their key machine all weekend. Their cook failed to show up Sunday morning and didn't order food for the breakfast. However, one of the people with our group is a university cafeteria cook, jumped up, took control and everyone, (those who were there in time), was able to have a great breakfast! She saved the day!
Our room was very comfortable. Some patrons complained, But, even with the staff shortage, problems with the key machine and renovations, I feel that the staff did their best to accommodate everyone while providing service with a smile! I would like to return to this hotel after the renovations. Like I said, This could be a Great Hotel!

We held a wedding here this last weekend. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, our rooms were ready when we needed them, the set up of the reception was done exactly as we wanted it. Thanks to Josie and the staff for helping to make the day perfect!

The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in! No small comment! Room accommodations were pleasant and the staff were superb. The room was also very quiet. The breakfast is far from "continental," as each morning featured choices (self serve) including cereal, yogurt, toast or rolls, scrambled eggs, sausage and gravy, and even waffles. There was great coffee, orange juice, and milk. This is an important "add-on" that should be factored into the cost of staying there. In complimenting the management for our over-all positive reaction to the hotel and their staff, we did mention the present lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom. That's when we learned that the hotel had recently come under new management and that extensive renovations would soon be coming. Over all, a really fine value!

Davenport blends the amenities of a large city with the charm and comfort of a small town. The largest of the Quad Cities, this Mississippi River city features scenic riverfront trails at Centennial Park and world-class museums. In addition to St. Ambrose University, Davenport has many neighborhoods dating to the mid-19th century worth visiting for their small shops and Victorian homes.
