Hotel recommended by Expedia as great buy. I was concerned because of Google map pictures of location, but I was pleasantly surprised. Room and appointments were great. Wi Fi without problem. Best breakfast service anywhere. Juices in stem ware. Coffee in real china mugs. Hot foods kept hot. Local meats and sausages served. French pastries were incredible.
Location of hotel provided easy access to freeway system to airport...A short, quick drive provided access to waterfront, and a quick ferry rides to Halifax Harborfronot. (CAD 1.50)...much better than driving in Halifax traffic and trying to find parking.
Motel is also across the street from one of Dartmouth's beautiful parks that included trails and a lake for kayaking...Canoe competition going on while we were there.

Great place to stay while visiting Halifax/Dartmouth area. Hotel is well appointed with pool and water slide plus the usual convenient amenities of a Hampton Inn. It was very convenient to stay here with young kids. Location is a short drive to everything in the Halifax/Dartmouth area.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is in the industrial park area so a vehicle is needed to get around, however shopping and restaurants are close by. Our visit was mainly a back to school shopping trip, and most of our shopping was done at the Halifax Shopping Center which was a 10 - 15 minute drive from the hotel. Micmac Mall and Dartmouth Crossing shopping were much closer. Other activities we did nearby were the Get Air trampoline park and Ground Zero Rock climbing gym. Typical hotel continental breakfast, served 6 - 9 am on weekdays and
7 - 10 am on weekends. Lots of parking. Overall our room was clean, however a dirty sock had been left in the closet by a previous guest, as well some of the toiletries had been previously used (mouthwash and body lotion had broken seals, we just tossed them in the trash). We did not try the hotel restaurant. Would recommend this hotel.

"Great hotel for business trip or quick overnight. "
Our family stayed here while we were in town for a wedding. The hotel is clean and the staff are fantastic. Breakfast was a little hectic in the morning as there isn't much seating, but we just took our breakfast to our room on the mornings we couldn't get a seat. No big deal.
There is no elevator in the hotel so be sure to request 1st floor if there is mobility issues.
I would recommended this hotel for a quick overnight for a family or a regular stay for business. The amenities here are slim. No gym, pool, etc. However, the staff seem to go above and beyond to make your stay a great one.

Dartmouth, founded in 1750 and located on Canada's east coast, is home to the oldest continuously operating saltwater ferry service in North America. Boasting 23 lakes within its boundaries, Dartmouth has earned the nickname, City of Lakes. The Angus L. Macdonald Bridge, a suspension bridge spanning Halifax Harbour, connects Dartmouth to Halifax, less than 4 kilometers away.
