"Best Hotel Experience Ever!!"
The attention to detail at this hotel is one like I have never experienced before. To lighting candles in our room before arrival, a box of chocolates on the bed, the cookies left at our door after dinner, and the candles lit around the spa in the evening. This place was so relaxing, I did not want to leave. Am already planning another stay here. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting some peace, quiet and relaxation.

"Great place to stay"
Shantara is a beautiful hotel/resort to stay at. We stayed in 1 Bedroom self contained unit. Spotlessly clean, and pleasing d├ęcor. Very friendly and helpful staff(especially Dinah) who helped us choose a tour to the reef, and advice for travelling to the Daintree. The tour was excellent with Wavelenght. Close enough to Macrossan Street, but away from the night time noise etc, to be quiet and relaxing. Very enjoyable experience. Would happily recommend Shantara to family and friends.

"Natural surroundings are stunning"
This is a stunning area of Australia with so much to see and do at a relaxing pace. The location of the lodge is stunning with natural stream and swimming hole running visible from dinning area. Very relaxing place to be. Most of the staff are lovely and will go out of their way to give you advice about where to visit or buy things. As others have said rooms are very basic with plain and rusting furniture and fridge. Thick coating of dust over everything in one room but not others. Cleaner does not come every day just drops off towels. Be warned also that breakfast ends strictly at 9am including weekends so no sleeping in! Dinner is also only served 6-7 on slow evenings. No TV reception in rooms only a limited selection of older DVDs. Breakfast very basic with only toast, 3 types of cereal and slices of melon and sometimes a bit of other fruit. Some yogurt, cheese/sliced mean, pastries and some tropical fruit would make the breakfast much more appealing .

"Great location and value"
We stayed at the motel for a night when in Port Douglas for a wedding. Although we weren't in the room long it was clean, comfortable and they had done a great job with with the retro fit out. Was an easy walk to town and the beach. The pool area was nice and although we didn't use the outdoor kitchen it looked well stocked. Would definitely stay here again.

"Great service By Aiden and Alex"
Excellent service by Aiden and Alex. The room was quiet and clean and the bed comfortable. Aiden and Alex were ever helpful. The only minor concern was the laundry area cleanliness.

"Fantastic accommodation"
I would highly recommend this high end apartment. Lovely reception staff. Beautiful cheese platter in the fridge on arrival, large towels and very, very comfortable bed. The lush green plants and beautiful pool in the shade, with a spa and lap pool with a water feature, made for a luxurious feel. Perfectly located near the beach and shops with secure shaded parking . We loved our stay and would highly recommend these apartments.

Daintree National Park is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Daintree National Park, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Daintree National Park hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
