"Great stay in Cusco!!"
This hotel is very central to everything and the staff was super friendly. Breakfast was great, lots of variety great service. General TiPS....when you get to Cusco just relax in your room the first day/night. The altitude is no joke. The hotel provides oxygen for $35 so if you are feeling light headed or out of breath this comes in handy. ALSO no alcohol or heavy foods the first night. High altitude affects your digestive system so take it easy. If you are going to Machu Picchu leave your luggage at the hotel or pack lightly. The train station is 30 minutes away and traffic is awful so the less you carry the easier your life will be! Bon voyage my friends!!

"Very nice hotel"
I got to enjoy this hotel at the end of my stay and my birthday! Love this antique look and how the room has high ceilings. It's a bit noisy outside, so if you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend this place. It's perfectly located 10min away from the center. Loved it!

Belmond Hotel Monasterio

Calle Palacio 140, Cusco - Map
"A most lovely experience!"
Monasterio was our backup choice and we had been slightly disappointed that our first choice (the one next door) was fully booked. But Monasterio turned out to be such a beautiful, elegantly adorned place. We were greeted with a huge surprise of room upgrade from junior suite to the royal suite. The room was impeccable, but the staff was most definitely the best part of Hotel Monasterio. The service was everything you would expect of a top-notch hotel, but in addition to the professional range, Monasterio offers a personal touch and cares about its guests. I came back from a day trip to Machu Picchu with a terrible headache due to altitude sickness. The staff who came to turn down our bed hurried to bring me coca tea, checked the oxygen and helped ordering some broth to relieve my symptom. Had I not been that sick, I would love to thank them more properly. Of course, they were also extremely knowledge and helpful about getting around and shopping in Cusco. It only take a trainee concierge gentleman one minute to detail a map about how to find Maca powder in the local market--and it was so impressively accurate! Before we remembered to ask, we had spent hours wandering the city for the product to no avail.

"Charming with Attentive Staff"
The hotel is very clean. It's conveniently located. The staff are attentive and go above and beyond to assure that you are comfortable. Breakfast is included and the choices are healthy and also hearty. Sergio is a key employee who is extremely kind. His English is excellent. He recommended restaurants and things to see as well as spoiling us with a dinner of guinea pig and the best Pisco Sour we had during our 2 week visit throughout Peru. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Nice hotel close to plaza de armas"
Quiet hotel, even when the street is quite noisy, you don't hear anything inside, they have coca tea and moña tea, very helpful when you arrive. You can book your tourist plan in front of the hotel. The breakfast is really good and they have different fruits and different menu every day.

"Outstanding Hotel in Cusco"
Staff was extremely friendly and even more helpful. Onsite restaurant was great for breakfast (free, VERY good selection) and for lunch/dinner (though pricey by Cusco standards). Literally my only complaint was our room didnt have AC, but we opened up the window in our room and the cool mountain air did the job just fine. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and comfortable. Location is a 10-15 minute walk from Plaza de Armas, which was great for us because we like to walk, but it was not so far as to be inconvenient. Also right across the street from a giant market to buy all of your touristy souvenirs. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cusco is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Cusco, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Cusco hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
