This hotel was ideally located for Nantwich, Chester and Tarporley and other places we would have done had it not been we were going to a wedding in Market Drayton and a dinner in a local castle.
Nice spa, friendly staff there.
We only had breakfast at the hotel. Staff a bit disorganised in the dining room. Salt but no pepper on the tables. Toast cold, but cooked breakfast really good.
Our room , October, was next to the boiler room so we were awake early! But otherwise the room was lovely and had a good view. Very comfortable large bed!

Very convenient location for Crewe station, which was helpful as I had to check in quite late in the evening. I found the noise from trains and train announcements disturbed my sleep - I couldn't close a window in the bathroom, which may have contributed to the problem. The water pressure in the shower was poor and even on the highest heat setting, the water was luke warm.

We had a lovely time at The Vicarage!! Beautiful room with a huge bathroom and clawfoot tub. Just gorgeous! It is right on the main road... but we could walk (10 minutes) to the town center. Had a wonderful lunch at The Vicarage... then walked through the fields in back of the hotel ... followed the water all the way to a pretty bridge. Perfect for picture taking. We met many cows along the way and a couple of fishermen. Takes about half an hour to walk... unless you talk to the cows for a bit. Then walked to Mandeville's Bakery and brought our dessert over to Costa across the street for coffee. Walked back to the hotel to relax... then walked again to the town center and Old Red Lion for dinner. That was very nice too. Came back to the Vicarage for more dessert and played cards at one of their many little sitting areas. Loved that!!! Lots of cute little places to sit and relax. Had a great time and Karen at the front desk is awesome.. even picked us up from the train station!! Thanks Karen!!!!!

Predominantly known as a railway town, Crewe's history stems from its importance as a major junction and rail engineering base. The town is still fantastically connected and is a frequent stop for travelers heading to the Northwest of the UK. The expansive Queen's Park is a fine area for locals and visitors alike, featuring a lake with boat hire, an outdoor gym, and a golf course.
