"Trendy, modern, and top notch hotel"
We booked two rooms at Vertigo for 4 nights. The hotel is exceptional inside and out. It has top-notch appointments and amenities, comfortable and quiet rooms, and a very attentive staff. The breakfast (not included but we were given coupons for 2 days) is exceptional and can keep you going until dinner time. The food choices are vast and the ambiance superb. As with any hotel in this class, it had free wi-fi and I found it must stronger than in other hotels. This hotel is very hip but really can accommodate any type of traveler. Its location is right next to the main city center, and is walking distance to nearly everything in Dijon. We never had the need for a car or tram except for our jaunts out of town to Beaune and some chateaus.

"Hotel in good location in Beaune"
The hotel is located just outside the entrance to the business district. We walked everywhere in the town from the hotel, though we really strolled! Beaune is a great city, lots of stores, restaurants, and 2 markets a week. The Saturday market is the large one. You can easily walk every where through town. Visit the mustard factory, wine cellars and various wine tastings. A bakery was just across the street where we purchased baked goods, and a cafe where we had breakfast was right down the street. Free parking across the street. We rented a car and drove to various vineyards and went wine tasting in the area. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic! The waiters were attentive and we relaxed as we ate several meals there during our week stay. The hotel seems better for adults, as we didn't see any children's playground there. The hotel is old, but well-maintained. No fast-paced life here, so don't be in a hurry! We arrived from Paris via train, walking from the station to the hotel. I suggest calling the hotel or one of the 2 taxis in town for a ride. That is the only thing I would change about the trip! We asked the restaurant if they had clafoutis on the menu one night. They didn't, but said that they would make it for us. Delicious!

"Historic hotel n Beaune"
We stayed at Abbaye de Maizieire for two nights. Very cool hotel , with. A great location adjacent to the Cathedral. Our room was on the third, top floor, with no lift. And the bedroom was lofted, with bathroom on lower level. About 115 steps up spiral staircase, which provided an aerobic workout. But elderly or other guests with any physical limitations should be forewarned. Fortunately we exchange rooms with friends, and new room was perfect: spacious, well lit, comfortable bed and air conditioning. Staff is extraordinary: provided restaurant recommendations, carried heavy bags up three flights, and arranged for pharmacy to stay open when an illness developed.

We were due to stay one night and liked it so much we extended our stay for another two nights. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and attentive and we loved our room. And the location is perfect to explore Beaune on foot. We'd come back here any day. PS: And its a great hotel to bring a dog.

"Nice stay, but staff need more training"
We stayed at Dijon for one night before heading off to Meursault the next day. Arriving from the train station the hotel was a short walk. The check-in process was smooth, however when we called the front desk for an extra pillow the request seems to have been ignored, we called the second time and it wasn't an hour since the initial call that we finally got our extra pillow. The room was facing inwards, when balconies facing the courtyard and swimming pool. The toilet is separated from the bathroom, which means you have to walk across the hotel room to wash your hands; it also has no ventilation - the scent from your toilet break may flow into the bedroom area. Although the room was well sound-proofed, the walls will still shake quite a bit if someone is banging on it next-door. We checked out just as the France rail worker strike was starting so we asked the front desk to book a taxi for us in our next destination. We ask the front desk to confirm the taxi request at least twice (and they assured us) and in the end we did not see our taxi at our destination - and had to ask the train station staff to book another taxi for us.

Cote d'Or is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Cote d'Or, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Cote d'Or hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
