Left yesterday and miss it already.
Pros - hotel amazing, staff always happy and can't do enough for you, pools so nice and the fantastic views from the pools and the rooms large balconies is very beautiful.
Cons - the main bar should never close at 7pm, it's so nice and be kept open for a chill out area for adults only. A pool for adults only would also be nice.
Building construction behind hotel that seems to start extremely early, but with soundproof doors in rooms you can't hear anything or during the day while sunbathing.
This is a hotel catered for all and you will love it regardless.
Looking forward to returning :)

Perfect hotel. Whilst we were there one of the lifts was broken and the other worked every now and then. Only issue we had is that when paying for half board we would expect to get a bottle of water as part of the meal...we had to pay for this. Wine etc I understand..but not one bottle of water.

Beautiful big complex very clean and well maintained, staff friendly and efficient. Italian restaurant very good. Beautiful big pools with a major lack of sunbeds which is unacceptable for a hotel of this price. Evening entertainment is poor and as the hotel is remote you haven't much choice but to listen to it. Overall it was a good experience but having to get up at the cracks of dawn to sit on a sunbed till after 8am is ridiculous.

When we arrived we were told we were being placed in a priority location room, fantastic news upon our arrival as we sipped our complimentary cava.
However when we got to room Aida 510 we were disappointed to find the room had not been renovated (one website said all rooms had been renovated in May but the hotel said they were just painting them). But the view we had was a building site overlooking the Grand Salomi suites which was next door and completely closed for renovations. The noise from the drilling was just awful. We requested a room change because of the noise and where moved to Aida 325 which overlooked the small pool and was far more peaceful.
The hotel is huge but spotlessly clean. We only found the large pool by fully exploring the grounds. Both pools are heated. The small pool was 27 degrees and the larger salt water pool was 25 degrees. We had great weather all week, the hotel literature said 23 degrees but it felt more like 27 degrees. Wifi is available free throughout the entire complex which worked really well.
The best thing about the hotel was the food. It was the best I've had anywhere! The speciality dishes each night were amazing. We didn't bother going to the two specialty restaurants on site because we didn't feel that the hotel food could be bettered.
The location is great, right on the beach with good bars and shops in each direction.
The Plaza Del Duque shopping mall was high class, designer shopping.

"Beautiful hotel, with great staff in a good locatio"
From check in to check out we had a great experience at this hotel. Staff were very good in all, departments. This is an adult only hotel with 2 beautiful pools,on site, with fabulous mosaic beds at the side of the pools. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The hotel is so,clean and so modern, large bathrooms and the hotel is so clean. The only negative I would have is the amount of steps to get down on to the main prom area. It is very near to the beach. From check in to check out we had a great holiday at the Riu. Whe we checked in we had a room on the ground floor we did ask would we be able to get one at a higher floor and 3 days later we were given 4035 with lovely views. Check out time is 11am and the hotel has shower rooms near reception for use after check out. Great holiday would highly recommend.

The apartment we were given was clean, roomy and had good air conditioning.
It was a short walk to the beach and a fantastic choice of restaurants.
The pools were nice and clean, however no where near enough beds. You have to either queue up before they open at 9am to get a bed or wait until 3/4pm for people to leave.
There was a good shop and restaurants on site

The northern extension of Playa de las Americas, Costa Adeje’s main attraction is the Puerto Colón marina from where there are numerous boat excursions and water sports. Nightlife is quiet and the resort’s championship golf course is one of the best in the Canary Islands. Just inland is the relatively unspoiled village of Adeje and, near here, the Barranco del Infierno (Hell’s Gorge), a picturesque lush ravine, very popular with walkers.
