"Great location for Bullring & Barclaycard Arena"
Parking was easy I used on site car park. Checking in was quick. We stayed on the top floor overlooking the canal. It was quiet. The bed was great only down side was the pillows. Even the 'soft' pillows in the wardrobe were quite lumpy, this is why I didn't give the room a 5 rating. Bar area was lovely with a mini Costa coffee area. Breakfast next day was varied and plentiful. I would recommend this hotel.

"Good Location at Good Price"
We used this hotel as it had car parking at a good rate available. Even though I rang ahead, it was not made clear to us that it was a hotel owned car park which was confusing as there is another car park on the road. This was sorted at reception for us. My only other irritation in an otherwise pleasant stay was the disabled access at the front of the hotel. There is an access lift to get you to the main lifts - reception being on a different floor. This access lift was very hit and miss in its operation and could do with a service as it should be a seamless operation, not a stressful one especially as there are no staff available to support its use. On the first occasion, I had to leave my husband in it while I went to get help with it. After that we just tinkered with it ourselves. Overall an enjoyable stay. My only comment to the people who design the hotel is - please remember how difficult it can be to wheel someone across carpeted floors - the disabled room was quite a walk from the lift!

The hotel is a very nice place to stay and convenient for walking to the shopping centres. There is a car park just round the corner which is maned at all times.

"Nice hotel "
The hotel was great in itself apparently secure however a brief departure from our room and a Kindle Fire disappeared had to be internal problem. Reported still investigating. Too bad they have done little to date. To show they intend to take ownership of problem. Safe had low battery is why we were afraid to use in case unable to retrieve items not world wide customer service we expected. Too sad

"Checking daughter into University of Birmingham"
We traveled from the USA to take our daughter to her semester abroad at the University of Birmingham. I liked the hotel very much because the staff were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was large, well stocked and tasty. Our room was comfortable and clean with nice touches like pillow selections, lavender sleep spray, and tea/coffee and biscuits. If I had to pick out a few things to improve on, it would be this : the hallways are very dark. The place felt a bit dated with dark corridors, velour accessories, and purple hues galore. The construction out front was an eye sore but not the hotel's fault. But it did make things seem a bit depressing. Not to mention there were large construction noises on Sunday morning! I would have loved to have had free breakfast and car parking but I realize that is just wishful thinking. And I do think the free Wifi could have been stronger. We were constantly being kicked off Wifi and that is expensive when you are traveling with phones from another country. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. Thanks to the wonderful staff who helped us out and answered our questions.

Nice and clean apartment in a central location for city centre restaurants and bars etc. Reception staff quite friendly too. Brindley place car park with hotel discount was £13 so not bad for 24hours.

Convention Quarter is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Convention Quarter, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Convention Quarter hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
