Clean modern apartment hotel with good facilities, the heated indoor pool was great for our 3 yr old as it rained when we were there. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from the road outside so we wished we'd brought earplugs. Cold buffet breakfast was OK and relaxed staff let us swim after checkout and use the gym showers. Cost about $4 in a cab for each trip to the centre which could mount up.

Not hard to find, right in front of the city hall. Reasonably quick check in but very low english. Room very clean but small. No elevators if that matters to you. Breakfast only starts at 8 and no discount for not taking it.
A clean, comfortable, safe place within easy walking distance of everything (as is all of Colonia, I suppose).

This was not the first time I have been there, actually I have gone there many times. One of the great things about this hotel is that is also a great hotel for kids. Besides the outdoors installations, the hotel has a Kids club where they can play and do all kind of things, always supervised by professionals, They also organize activities outdoors for the kids, which leaves grown ups times to enjoy themlseves.
