The hotel is fairly new so of course everything is pristine;
the desk clerk was very friendly and professional;
the lobby is very inviting and the rooms are great; roomy, comfortable and clean.
This hotel is fairly new I'm surprised they didn't consider the need for USB Ports, this is the age of electronics; actually it was hard to locate a plug in the room; I only found one near the desk
the walls are thin you can hear doors slamming, people walking the halls talking.
I heard the garbage truck 5am woke me up out of my sleep because it was so loud.
The breakfast variety was minimal and more fattening then healthy

The Hotel grounds and staff were excellent. Beware of the service at the restaurants. I read many bad reviews about the service experience while dining and chose to eat at one anyway because of time. Waited a long time to be seated or served because the staff were more interested in decorating a Christmas tree. We saw several people leave while waiting. The Hotel was great but next time I will go somewhere else to dine.

It is a former Residence Inn so it was nice and remodeled. Nice kitchen. Sort of hard to get into the property as it is not on busy Poplar Ave., but one street South. Sits next to railroad tracks, but we luckily never experienced a loud train. I would stay here again. Close to St. Francis hospital.

The hotel is very unique housed in the former basketball arena shaped like a pyramid. The rooms are quite nice and furnished in a rustic manner. There can be a lot of walking involved in getting to your room if you are on the back side of the pyramid from the hotel entrance. There are only 2 public elevators - one on each side of the pyramid - and then one in the center of the store that goes up to a restaurant and observation deck. We found that the staff was not very well trained at the hotel and it took us at least 30 minutes to check in due to the lack of training. That was not a good start to the stay. I spoke to the hotel manager the next morning and she was appreciative of my comments, but totally oblivious to what had happened, including one couple demanding their money back and leaving as a result of the horrid check in experience. The only restaurant is "Uncle Buck's" and it has a very limited menu. The quality of the food is OK and the restaurant servers were friendly. There appears to be limited kitchen staff and the kitchen is located quite a way from the dining area so the service is not very quick. There are lots of goodies in the room from the store below as an incentive for buying more, and the fresh cookies in the room every night are a nice touch.

Collierville is a mainly upscale town of large houses and considerable retail expansion, but unlike its neighbors, still retains much of its old town feel from its days as a self-contained community, rather than a suburb of Memphis. It is also home to Avenue at Carriage Crossing, an 800,000-square-foot shopping center.
