"City centre hotel with great views, pleasant staff"
The hotel is within easy reach of everywhere you might wish to go in the centre, it's on the edge of a lovely park and has views, in our case, over to the old city. Room clean and comfy, staff very sweet, bar and breakfast fine. Only drawback is having to pay for room wifi - shouldn't that come free these days? The room was a bit warm, tried to turn down the thermosat but didn't manage to make it work, only small things, overall a pleasant spot for a city stay. Thanks

Bad - or terrible I should say ... the swimming pool ! The water was green and cloudy so I didn't even use it , the jacuzzi.... it was an empty dirty pot... after all we have seen me and my husband went back to the room. Very disappointed!!!
I chosen that hotel just because we wanted to relax as it has the spa facilities . But what a shame instead or relax we were disappointed!!!
There was no information whatsoever about not working jacuzzi!!! The staff didn't offer anything instead !
Also during our breakfast we were surrounded by dust .... ehhh Not very appetitting ....
The only good thing about that hotel was breakfast which was very good !!! And the rooms were ok

We've just enjoyed a couple of very nice days at this hotel. It's ideally placed to explore the city centre, the rooms are excellent and the staff great.
My only complaint is that the bath hadn't been cleaned properly and I found myself in someone else's soap scum - not the end of the world but not especially pleasant either.
Other than that, great hotel and we'll definitely use the HDV chain again.

From check-in to check-out, we had a wonderful stay. The Deluxe Double had everything we needed and more. The Temple Spa products were lovely. The room was immaculate, with comfortable beds. The air-con was efficient, and we were able to keep the room a comfortable temperature, despite the muggy weather. We didn't use the bathrobes, slippers or Nespresso machine in the end, but it felt luxurious knowing we could!
The hotel had homemade lemonade in a large dispenser in Reception, which we enjoyed every time we returned to the hotel after sightseeing. We had afternoon tea in the lounge, which was absolutely delicious. One of the best I have ever had. Breakfast offered everything we could have asked for and was nicely laid out. All in all, I thoroughly recommend The Bristol.

Set on the Bristol Channel, Clevedon is approximately 21 km southwest of the city of Bristol. A Victorian pier extends from the town's rocky shoreline, providing views of Wales across the water. History buffs will appreciate Clevedon Court, a manor house dating back to the 14th century.
