"Great city hotel"
The Zetter TH is cosy, warm and welcoming, full of character, more like staying in a fabulous country house hotel than in central London. The standard rooms are on the small side but this is a city hotel so not unusually so. Staff are friendly and efficient, keen to help out when you have questions and the cocktails were great! Reserve a table on the weekends if you want to spend time in the bar as it does get busy. We will definitely be back.

It is a nice hotel. And the location was quiet and good. Reception staff needs a bit more experience.

"Great value hotel in great location"
We stayed here when we had a birthday party nearby. We just needed somewhere half decent but we're pleasantly surprised at the effort that had been put in and would definitely stay here again if back in London.

The room is so big and comfortable. And near by King's cross road station and supermarket. But the reception and the room is different place. You need to go to reception check in and out.

"Convenient and friendly"
The hotel is close to Kings Cross Station, reasonably priced (for London) and very convenient for travelling around central London. The staff members were friendly and helpful and I would stay there again despite a few negative observations. The rooms are very small and contain no cupboards, drawers, desk or chair. This is a problem for anyone hoping to set up a laptop computer to catch up with work, etc. I set mine up on the windowsill and sat on the bed. The WiFi service supplied is good however. The only hanging space is on the back of the door. Rooms contain kettles and instant coffee and teabags (although the teabags were 'Pickwick', which I have hitherto only encountered in Europe; fortunately they use Twinings in the breakfast room). The ensuite loo/shower/wash-hand basin is adequate, though tiny. The hand basin is too small to get the kettle under the tap. There is a good flat-screen TV on the wall, and they also supply a complimentary mobile phone (and charger) which you can take with you around London. My main complaint was discovering bed bugs in the first room (live and dead). However, when I showed them to the reception desk, they immediately re-roomed me temporarily for one night, and then again the next day because the replacement room had no hot water. I did not find any bugs in either of the other rooms. Muslim owners mean breakfast is continental, not cooked full English, and what I would call 'contractual obligation' quality: sufficient but uninspiring.

"Brightening up a Grey Day "
February is never the best month for a birthday but have to say the staff at The Zetter especially those on the front desk were ideal at brightening up a grey day, the room on the top floor had a great view from the balcony and we enjoyed the weird and wonderful cocktails both in the hotel bar and across at The Zth Townhouse even if we were sitting next to a stuffed cat...although it was wearing a nice dress so i guess we can make allowances !!!! if there was one tiny pointer it may be that although cocktails were excellent and clearly fitting with the theme , a tiny bit of some classic cocktail 'decor' in or around the glass maybe add even more to the overall affect and maybe make the tip discretionary , although i would have left a tip anyway as the cocktails were rather fab!

"You get what you pay for"
Decent bathroom, tea and coffee provided was a bonus. But there where stains (blood?) on the sheets, so cleanliness let it down

"Great Value, Lovely Hotel, OK Neighborhood"
The Hotel has just been completely refurbished and is beautiful. The staff could not be more friendly, professional or plentiful. You do have to pay extra for the pool, which is not mentioned in the listing, and kids are prohibited after 6:30 pm, which is when you want to take your kids to the pool. The neighborhood was fine, but a little too quiet and desolate for us to feel comfortable walking around in at night. That's not a problem, though, because the 63 bus stops practically at the door and runs 24 hours a day to and from Kings Cross Station. Cabs are plentiful in this area. The Russel Square Tube station is also only a 15-20 minute walk away. Value like this for such a nice hotel is hard to find in London! I would definitely stay here again!

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
