Casa Escondida is a very special B&B. Belinda could not have done more to make three days in Chimayo any better. She was knowledgeable about the area, generous in the use of her lovely home, breakfasts were delicious, and her attention to detail added to the relaxed atmosphere of our stay.

It was well decorated and very cute! The owner was very friendly and showed us around. The backyard was wooded and provided great space to view the stars. There are public areas and couches for guests to spend time at outside of their rooms. I like how there were also board games and a patio. We had a wonderful experience here. Just wish there were more hooks in the room and a hair dryer.

Almost 300,000 devout Catholics make an annual pilgrimage to Chimayo to visit El Santurio de Chimayo, a small chapel that has earned the nickname the “Lourdes of America.” Since 1813, worshippers have visited the sanctuary to meditate and seek cures for ailments. The town, which features traditional Mexican adobe architecture, is also home Rancho de Chimayo, one of New Mexico’s oldest restaurants.
