"Beautiful hotel and grounds - very peaceful!"
We spent one night at Hotel Okaan as we visited Chichen Itza. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff were very helpful in trying to get us tickets to the night laser light show at Chichen Itza. The only "unusual" thing is that they ask you want you want to have for supper as soon as you get out of the car. It was low season so I understand they want to make sure they have enough food.

"Convenient for visiting the ruins."
Not a bad hotel. WiFi should be considered non existent. The food was okay but nothing special. They could have been more helpful about information about the light a day sound show.

"Cheap accomodation close to Chichen Itza"
Our stay here was a little disappointing. We booked a bungalow for a 1 night stay on our way to Cancun. The rate was cheap which was good. The grounds are beautiful and this place has unbelievable potential. The restaurant was ok and provided a free breakfast with our stay. This included eggs any style and coffee. There was a buffet available with very limited selection. There is a hand craft/convenience store on site however it was closed when we arrived at 3pm, There was no toilet paper in our room and we had to request some. The room was spacious however, the floor is unfinished concrete and we had to keep our shoes on the whole time and it had a very musty/damp smell. The beds were very uncomfortable and there wasn't anywhere in the room to sit besides the bed and there was no furnishings present. There is supposed to be free wifi but it didn't reach our bungalow. This hotel isn't within walking distance to anywhere so once you're there you have to stay on the grounds our get in your car and drive to the nearest town of Kaua if you would like to get anything to eat or just go for a stroll. The staff, however, were quite friendly and accommodating and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. the pool area was quite nice as well.

"Prefect for the Ruins"
We totally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is perfect for a visit to Chichen Itza. The hotel grounds are perfectly maintained and very lovely. The front desk arranged a private guide for us and he was very good and we were happy with our tour. The food was excellent, breakfast was included and was excellent. We also had a wonderful dinner and lunch. The only negative was the WiFi, we had an understand there was Internet on our room and once we arrived it was only available in the lobby. Our cottage was about a 3 minute walk, so that was inconvenient.

"Good location for visiting Chichen Itza"
Good place to visit Chichen Itza. But there is not much shop and restaurant around hotel. You can walk to ruins on foot as well as taking other transportation such as taxi and buses.

"Room was clean and as advertised. "
We were worried about road noise...as mentioned in other reviews. Turned out to be a minimal issue. While you are somewhat close to the highway for the restaurant and pool you quickly get used to it and we enjoyed watching the world go by. A night there was basically no highway traffic so no problem sleeping. Restaurant was great - small Mexican/Mayan menu but good quality and service.

Chichen Itza is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Chichen Itza, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Chichen Itza hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
