Everything about the hotel was pleasant. I wouldn't say more than that, but for a weeks stay it was agreeable. Staff were friendly, though there was some language barriers I found unusual in front end employees. Rooms were clean. Service was amicable, but when we asked for information there was little assistance (maybe I'm just used to more of the concierge-type offerings from hotels); and if we didn't ask we didn't get. Everyone was nice, just not anticipatory to customers needs. The hotel app is a great idea, but when it came to putting it into practice a little lacklustre (in the end we still had to go down to the spa desk to book, which the purpose of the app was to make convenient while out). Honestly the whole place felt like it was trying to find it's service groove, with some members of staff trying harder than others.

Nice hotel but had to transfer from another hotel which was booked. I thought they would provide transport but only managed to get a deal on a taxi service which cost 20 euros for 5 mins drive! Expect more from a hotel with so many stars. It was nice but think very overpriced.

First and foremost the staff are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble, very warm and welcoming. The rooms are a pleasure to stay in, large, well set out and beautifully finished. The views of Mont Blanc are spectacular, especially from the outdoor pool. Makes you feel good to be alive.

"nice hotel, good pool, too far from town centre."
we had a good stay at the mercure, nice pool and sauna, however the spa needed to be a lot hotter. the rooms were nice and clean, and the staff were excellent, polite and very helpful. however, it is quite a way from town, about 5 miles. not walking distance. it does offer a free bus, which leaves every half n hour, but in the rain with no shelter its not very nice.

A basic ski apartment, convenient for bus routes. After reading some previous reviews, I was a bit dubious about my booking, but was very pleasantly surprised. Clean, roomy (aprtment for 6) and reasonably well-equipped. We realised that there would be no dishcloth/washing-up liquid, so took our own. The kitchen area must be cleaned before you leave.

Equipped with swimming pool, mini golf and so on, this hotel is quite suitable for families with children. Very helpful staff. Transportation could be an issue, as the number of trains to Chamonix is limited. There are only a few restaurants and one small grocery store around--you have to plan your day well ahead!
