I had five or six interactions with staff and they were helpful, courteous and they truly made me feel cared for at this location. Even passing staff in the hallways...everyone was very nice and welcoming. This place is very relaxing, almost a sanctuary. Peaceful and quiet, the most terrific service in all areas of our stay. We'll be back, again and again.

The Scottsdale Plaza resort was awesome! We booked a patio king room which was very cozy with the fireplace and secluded. The layout of the resort makes it feel like you were staying in your own home versus a hotel. They offer a complementary shuttle that takes you within 5 miles of the resort. We used it every day! The pools and Jacuzzi‘s were clean and the backdrop of the mountains was stunning! Lastly the staff was awesome! Each one made us feel so welcome and we will definitely be coming back!

"Real funky interesting hotel and great restaurant"
We arrived at this hotel with low expectations, having booked solely on Expedia and almost a random choice reasonably close to the airport. What a pleasant surprise to find this convenient hotel right beside the arts area in Phoenix (RoRo). Neat art gallery in the lobby, rooms designed as industrial lofts with super design and an excellent restaurant (Matches) where we had both dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff. Clean. Interesting. A great choice for one night or lengthier stay.

I have stayed at the Hotel Valley Ho since its renovation over a decade ago. The rooms are large and modern. Its fairly quiet and close to alot of night life and businesses in the Scottsdale area of Phoenix. Excellent location and nice grounds. What is new in the past year is the overnight parking fee of $20 per night. this feels exorbitant, especially since there is plenty of parking in the hotel's two outer lots. I can understand this fee if you valet park your car and are paying for the convenience of having a person take and bring your car throughout your stay. However, the fee seems steep for just parking in one of their outer parking lots. Perhaps $10 to self park makes more sense...or better yet, for free, as it has been for the past decade that I have been staying there. Also, the 50's music that plays on an endless loop in the guest check in is just tired and feels kitsch. I feel bad for the employees who have to endure that music for their entire work shift! I didn't try the food at Zuzu Cafe this time because in the past it has been marginal in quality. i heard that they have replaced the chef so maybe its worth a try on my next visit in a few weeks. The rooms usually have some maintenance issues and my last visit was no exception. Overall, great location and big, sun filled modern rooms with ugly white fake leather headboard punctuated with grey buttons but it can't all be perfect!
