We were only staying one night and the weather was to be bad. We didn't get to use the pool (January) but it would be very nice in Spring and Summer. The staff was very good about letting us check in a good two hours before the stated 5 PM check in time. The mattress was a bit worn out but other wise, the room was lovely. No matter where you go there is always the problem of other guests who talk loudly in the hallways at all hours. I don't suppose anything can be done about that short of dimming the hall lights or posting signs. Check out at 10 was easy and the parking garage can be accessed from the hotel without going outside.

Stayed at this hotel for a 2 night getaway, just me and my dog. Very clean room, wonderful service by the staff, and tons of amenities. Had room service (delicious cobb salad), and enjoyed walking around the property & small lake. Was really impressed by the pool and fire pits, and have only compliments for the hotel!

I stayed in this hotel for a week during Feb. 2016. Considering the price, it was better than what i expected. The breakfast was a mini bar in the reception area, having coffee, toast, corn, jam, fruit and peanut butter. The location is quite good and just 2 block from the sea shore, a 5 min drive, also near free way. So, if you planning to stay and do business or spend time mostly in Encinitas and Carmel Valley, it is the perfect place, but almost half an hour drive to down town during non traffic hours. The rooms are quite small. the mattress were neat, lavatory and bathroom in good shape and condition, but do not expect a fanciful one!! despite being a 2-star hotel, it has a regular and daily room service. The surrounding is quite clean. Based on the money we payed for a 6 night stay, it was really a good economical place.

Was there for a training in the events center so I didn't get to use the ameneties at all. The only negative was that the prices for food were outrageous. I expect things to be expensive but 6.95 for a slice of pizza?
The room was so lovely, I loved coming back to it after a long day. The staff was very nice and made you feel at home. I would love to go back.

In Carlsbad, everything’s coming up buttercups. These flowers cover 50 acres at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. Nearby, the Museum of Making Music highlights American composition and instruments. Directly north, Oceanside is midpoint between Los Angeles and San Diego. This beach town is known for its 1,954-foot pier, the longest wooden pier in the West Coast. Legoland theme park is nearby.
