The hotel was fine. The grounds and pool are nice. I think what we paid was about what it was worth. The Expedia site had it listed as a half price sale. If we paid only half price I think it is regularly over priced.

Nice that they had laminate "wood" flooring however I don't think it was swept before I arrived. While walking around the room in my barefeet, it always felt like they had sand on the bottom of them...all the time. Besides that it, was clean. It was incredibly small for the amount I paid, not that I was expecting anything elaborate and it served just fine for my spur-of-the-moment 1-night stay, however they could have at least had softer toilet paper and pillows on the bed.

We stayed for three nights. Cheap and 5 min drive to many stores and food places. Close to Legoland. Pool closes late , kids enjoyed the pool. Housekeepers would come everyday and make beds, cleans room and restock with towels and soap bars. Con: No microwave and no fridge.

Helpful staff as well. Would recommend.

In Carlsbad, everything’s coming up buttercups. These flowers cover 50 acres at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. Nearby, the Museum of Making Music highlights American composition and instruments. Directly north, Oceanside is midpoint between Los Angeles and San Diego. This beach town is known for its 1,954-foot pier, the longest wooden pier in the West Coast. Legoland theme park is nearby.
