We were happily surprised to find a clean and quiet hotel at such a reasonable price. While there were simple amenities we enjoyed having a nice room to relax in after a long day. If you want quality basics....this the place.

Everything I would expect from a hotel, a place to lay my head after partaking of the many activities available within the area. Conveniently located right next to the main HWY (did not hear any noise from highway at all), easy access to anything you could want to do in Banff/Canmore/Lake Louise etc... (we did Johnston Canyon). Beds were relatively comfortable and showers were hot and with lots of pressure. Did not use Sauna/Jacuzzi. Conveniently located in Canmore, walking distance to restaurants, downtown, grocery stores... Staff was very good. Overall very impressed, I try not to spend to much time in a hotel when I travel, so my needs are very few.

A friend and I recently stayed at the Windtower for a ski weekend. Although I had booked the cheapest hotel style room I could find on the site, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see we had been upgraded to a full one bedroom king sized suite. We were also treated to the full hot buffet breakfast each morning. The room was a bit dated but had all the essentials and was overall very comfortable. The hot tub is always a great amenity. Keep in mind that underground parking is an additional $10 per night but worth it for the security and ability to store skis and boots safely inside the warm vehicle. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Enjoyed our stay so much that we booked again for next month!

We've stayed in Canmore lots over the years and decided to try somewhere new with more space. Well I must say we saw a great deal on Expedia so booked a weekend at Canadian Rockies chalets. Even though we'd seen pics and reviews online we were STILL very pleasantly surprised when we entered our room to see so much space with a full size kitchen and Dining area. There's a save on grocery store 5 minute walk to stock the fridge too !
As we travel with our dog, there was LOTS of room right behind the hotel to excercise your pet with a walking trail right out the back door.
Having used many accommodations in the mountains this is our NEW go to place to stay with our pet in Canmore.
It's like having an apartment in the mountains.
Thank you for the great stay and for being so accommodating with our dog

Picturesque Canmore has been used as a backdrop for such films as Brokeback Mountain, Legends of the Fall, and Snow Dogs. Tourists flock to the area for its close proximity to Banff National Park. The Canmore Nordic Centre, built for the 1988 Winter Olympics, provides trails for cross-country skiers, mountain bikers, and hikers. Main Street is home to shops, pubs, and restaurants.
