"A great non-inclusive hotel"
Since I like to explore, I prefer non-inclusive hotel. This hotel is by lagoon, ocean is across street. Nice lagoon view from the room. Hotel staff are super nice. 2 minutes walking to bus station if u would like to access any point of hotel zone. The closet bus stop is Casa Maya, tell bus driver this hotel name and he will let you off the right stop. They also provide 2 complementary bottles water everyday. The only thing I didn't give full points was, they forgot to provide facial towels since day 1. ^^

"Paradise "
Hotel located near shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Enjoyed walking to nightlife and bars. Hotel has been renovated and looks clean and modern, the beach is beautiful and we enjoyed it everyday, but it has rocks which is annoying. The food is great with many variety and the special restaurants no longer require you to make reservation and dress code is casual and that was great.

"Nizuc is by far the best hotel in Cancun"
We had a fabulous time there, I have stayed at all high end hotels in Cancun, none hold a candle to Nizuc. The service and staff are incredible, the food is fabulous and the privacy is much appreciated. The breakfast buffet is simply out of this world, the beaches and pools are beautiful.

"Already booking our return trip"
This was our first family experience using Expedia to book a stay outside of the United States. We read the negative reviews for our hotel and felt most were written by people with unrealistic expectations. We were correct. We paid for our trip prior to leaving and upon checkin found that we were able to use a credit card to secure room charges. Not sure why some reviews said they had to use cash. Staff behind the desk were fantastic for our entire stay exchanging money, suggesting activities, and making arrangements for excursions. We had several occasions to work with Sam, the concierge, He and the rest of the concierge staff are fantastic. He recommended the La Parilla,(sic) down town in the market area. FANTASTIC, the food was wonderfully authentic. The Mariachi band was fantastic, and did I mention we loved the food. Maid service at the hotel is top notch. Yolanda left us with perfect room conditions. Sam suggested we use a local bus for some of our trips into town...Great suggestion. Bus is only 10.50 pesos per person each way.And you don't have to catch it a stop, If you see the bus, wave, and they'll stop to pick you up, Cab rides to Playa Tortuga were only 180 pesos each way, We booked a tour for Chechin Itsa at the airport for $40.00 US, per person. We had to barter, but it included transportation, food, and the tour. We did Isla Mujeres at the market area and saved money on it there by bartering...Can't wait to get back. Staff and hotel is perfect.

"Wonderful hotel packed full of facilities. "
This is a perfect get a away if your looking to relax or want an action packed holiday. The hotel is situated away from the main hotel district in Cancun but this was the attraction for us. Yes they are building a sister hotel next door but by no means does this detract from the overall experience. Should be completed in November of this year if I recall correctly. Rooms are clean & comfortable, food is superb with a wide of restaurants & styles which I defy anyone to dislike. Pool area is picturesque & the beach is amazing. Some seaweed does wash up on shore but the staff are on the case every day. The best feature is the staff, nothing is too much trouble. Fabulous.

    Explore Cancun

Mexico’s most popular destination, Cancun is a beach-lovers’ paradise cut from sun, sand and sea. There are plenty of reasons to visit this sparkling Caribbean sapphire, where top attractions include climbing a Maya pyramid, diving into the depths of a limestone sinkhole or hitting the dance floor at a thumping nightclub.

Every day in Cancun begins and ends on the beach. The glistening white sand and crystal waters are straight out of a postcard. Plunge below for some of the world’s best snorkeling and diving at nearby Isla Mujeres and Cozumel. There is even an underwater museum here, with 500 submerged sculptures accessible to divers.

Just outside of Cancun, archaeological treasures are found at the Maya sites of Chichén Itzá, Tulum and Cobá. And at night, the city comes alive. Head downtown to Mercado 28 for authentic street food. The mainstream restaurants generally avoid innovation, opting instead for quantity and value, while the stratospheric nightclubs of the Zona Hotelera won’t shut down until the last shot of tequila is downed.

Ancient Mayan Cancun has more than left its mark on the modern incarnation of the city - most obviously in the form of Chichen Itza, the cultural center of Cancun. The Kukulkan Pyramid forms a striking figurehead, standing at a height of over 75 feet as part of the ancient mysterious city. It's also worth spending some time at the archaeological site so that you can experience the less obvious points of attraction, such as the Cenotes (sinkholes), an ideal setting for a solid day's freshwater swimming.

    Interact with nature

Enjoy views of the Cancun jungles with some horseback riding --it's the freest way to explore the matchless destination of Cancun, a truly different taste of the Mexican way of life. And why not swim with dolphins? You can be a part of their aquatic world, and experience their serenity and benevolence face-to-face. And if that's still not enough then why not visit Xcaret, an ancient Mayan village which now comprises an underground river, aquarium, and aviary? It's a truly unique experience - an otherworldly paradise.

If thinking outside the box is your thing, spend some time in Tulum; set atop a cliff overlooking the Caribbean, Tulum is home to Xel-Ha, the world's largest natural aquarium. Tulum's structures date back more than seven centuries, and the 40-foot high El Castillo pyramid is the aesthetic focus.

    Regional specialities

Downtown Cancun gives a taste of the local way of life with a plethora of regional specialities ready and waiting. Be it indigenous cuisine, live music, or local handicrafts you're after, it's all there; it's a taste of the true Mexicana to contrast with the Americanized city center.

Accommodation can mainly be found in the famous Zone Hotelera, an area shaped like a '7' featuring bridges connecting to the mainland. Rough beaches envelop the vertical side of the '7', while the horizontal end provides a tropical paradise for surfers and sun-seekers alike. The 14-mile beach stretch is where the city comes alive at night; the vast selection of bars and clubs means there is bound to be one to suit your taste. The area undertakes the great feat of transforming itself from the world's second largest coral reef during the daytime to a lively party city at night. Hide
