Some niceties ; some deferred maintenance.

2 queen beds downstairs, plus another queen and a single in the upstairs/loft. Overkill for 2 of us. 2nd floor, up some questionable wooden stairs. Nice view over garden. Beds were comfy, towels big and plush. However: carpet was stained in many place. Toilet made ongoing strange noises after flush. Fridge/freezer was wheezy and rackety.

What a beautiful property, so serene and quiet. Well maintained and clean. I wish the hot tubs were in working order when we arrived for our 4 nights. When I called prior to booking the clerk said they were; this is one of the reasons we booked, fingers crossed for next year that they're working. The one thing that should happen is that a complimentary breakfast should be in effect or at least $20/ night food credit. I found the breakfast so astronomically priced the first morning, we ate elsewhere for the other 3 mornings of our stay. Overall a lovely place, the staff were all great.

I was put in Room 102. The door greeted me like a slap in the face. Half of the wood was peeled off the face of it. Fix the door before you put someone in the room. The room requires renovations, but the view was incredible and it was nice to sit on the patio and enjoy the float planes and boats coming and going. The bathroom sink stunk like sour water. That was a turn off. I had dinner at the pub and they forgot to put through my order. Then when they finally brought it, it was the wrong dish. People make mistakes, but I would have thought my patience would have been more appreciated.

Went for a weekend with our two kids. The heated outdoor pool was fantastic. They also have BBQs available so we took advantage while our kids swam in the pool. Watched the sunrise every morning from our balcony! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful, historical property! However, the beds were very uncomfortable and there was no a/c in our unit. Room was dated and has been let go. Would be great to see this return to its former glory! Restaurant food was sub par- fish tacos were not fresh fish- disappointing! The pool is beautiful and was well kept.

Had a wonderful time at this (new owners), pet friendly lodge. Few growing pains...twice I witnessed guests very upset in the lobby to concierges.1) no a/c. (Not the lodge's fault) and 2) still waiting to check in at 530. ? Dont know why... We asked for extra toilet paper as we opted out of maid service and it never came...they appear to be in the process of fixing it up. Ot needs it in some areas ...new carpet..love the history in the pictures on the wall. Lovely servers in the restaurant. View and dock are wonderful. Enjoyed bringing our pug and waking up to the sunrise in the am and the cruise ships passing by in the middle of the night. We did need the fan in our ocean front room even with the ocean breeze, no elevators or room service but comfy beds...we hope to come back another time and stay in our same room with a view. Thanks.

The location on the water provided really nice views. I feel this was a premier hotel at one time, but is showing some wear. The restaurant could easily be more upscale but was extremely basic.
