Everything was ok. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Room was ok...beds comfortable, bathroom was clean, with good water pressure in the shower. A large refrigerator and a microwave was good for me, as I stayed 5 days. I could tell by the worn carpet and bedspreads in the room that it was an older hotel, but appreciate the effort on the other things.
There is no elevator to the second floor, but the staff was good enough to transfer me to the first floor, which included a sliding glass door out to my car in the parking lot to bring in luggage. The breakfast (included) was basic, appreciated the coffee, juice, muffins, toast, etc, but I didn't like the two choices of hot food (microwave egg patties and sausage patties).

Pool was great, and the reason we chose the hotel
Overall, seemed old, dated.
Beds were not very comfortable. Temperature control was manual and was difficult to manage a comfortable temperature. Heat was off when we arrived, and room was very cold. By bed time, too hot and made it difficult to sleep.

We have been to Langdon Hall three times and every time it has been such a treat. From the amazing service to the excellent food, and the pristine grounds. Pure relaxation. Our favourite hotel in Canada by far.

With its Victorian homes, green parks, stone bridges, and the Grand River, Cambridge often serves as a location for film and TV shows. Dickson Hill, in particular, offers photogenic mansions and leafy streets. In the city's south--the thriving downtown Galt area--riverfront textile mills have been converted to retail shops and one of Canada's oldest farmers' markets teems with shoppers.
