Enjoyed a 2 night stay at Anstey Hall. The surroundings, though rather splendid, seem jaded and are in need of some investment. However, room was clean and tidy, breakfast was delicious. Would certainly revisit and recommend.

The Hotel du Vin is less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Cambridge and less than than 2 minutes from the Fitzwilliam Museum. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was welll equipped and the bed of a decent size. The only downside was the building behind the hotel which is obviously a science faculty of the university. All the lights on at least one floor burn all night and although the curtains are thick there is light leakage between the curtain and the wall. Bring your eyeshades.
Altogether an enjoyable stay and we would stay there again on our next trip to Cambridge.

Visited Cambridge with my friend and 2yr old daughter. The hotel was close to the city centre and all local attractions. We stayed in a twin room with a travel cot which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff call at each room between 7pm-9pm, to see if anything is needed to make your stay more comfortable eg pillows and toiletries. Ipads, hairdryers, tea and coffee facilities and botles of water are provided in your room. Room service is quick and the food was delicious. The only negative feedback we would give the hotel is the wait at breakfast time. We arrived in the atrium at 9.30am and were seated immediately. We were given a menu and told our order would be taken shortly. Nobody approached us so we helped ourselves to cereal, fruit and fruit juice, which was located in an ajoining room although not informed of this. It was then 40 minutes before a waiter took our cooked breakfast order and then another 30 minutes before it arrived. This left us with 20 minutes to eat our beakfast (which was delicious once it arrived) and check out by 11am. A disappointing end to a wonderful weekend.

Glad we found this hotel and managed to secure a room in summer! The gym and spa next door is a great place to relax after a full day of walkabout in the city. The hotel is conveniently located at the heart of the city. Their 2 in house restaurants are worth trying out too. Just a pity we didn't get the corner room which had 2 glass walls overlooking the lovely city scenes.

Floating in the misty fens, this beautiful university city attracts hordes of visitors to its gothic spires, shady cloisters and wide open parks. In the summer, sun seekers punt along the Cam or picnic under the willows that line its banks. Strawberry Fair free music festival takes place early in June and the city's famous folk festival is in July. The view from Castle Hill is worth the climb.
