A nice enough hotel in a very convenient location. We were lucky enough to find an available space in the small car park (£15 per night). The staff immediately made us feel welcome and looked after us throughout our stay.
Our ground floor room (003) was nicely decorated and, although small, was comfortable and fine for our short stay. The choice of pillows was a nice touch as was the use of an iPad to search for and order services. On the flip side, our morning started a couple of hours earlier than planned due to the noise from the adjoining room. The connecting door was no barrier to the noise of talking and hairdryer. An additional minor gripe was there was only one bath towel provided which was not ideal for two of us. Another was provided but only after I twice had to leave the room to ask at reception.
Thankfully a fantastic breakfast soon restored us and left us with an overall favorable impression of a well run hotel.

Nice place I'm sure it's lovely in the summer with the big restaurant terrace and gardens. Staff all extremely friendly. Lovely comfortable room. Slightly complicated breakfast menu with some types of breakfast included some not never really got to the bottom but we never paid a supplement anyway so all good.

Floating in the misty fens, this beautiful university city attracts hordes of visitors to its gothic spires, shady cloisters and wide open parks. In the summer, sun seekers punt along the Cam or picnic under the willows that line its banks. Strawberry Fair free music festival takes place early in June and the city's famous folk festival is in July. The view from Castle Hill is worth the climb.
