My family and I (2 adults and 2 children) had an amazing experience at Rumba. Staff was friendly and Bill, the manager, was accomodating and very helpful. Beautiful apartment, great pools and amazing views from the apartments. We are definitely coming back and staying longer.

Quick service on arrival with explanations on room service, wifi, restaurant and breakfast. Parking was fine at about 4.30 pm but when we got home after dinner we were lucky to find a street car park.
We did not mind the helicopters landing on the hospital roof nearby as it was heartening to know someone was being rescued. Good coffee at a small coffee shop before the next corner. Comfy bed but could do with n optional (lower)
Very few options on the menu for vegetarians including the room service but breakfast was excellent when we chose the extras and not from the main menu suggestions.
Lovely to have 2 pods and coffee machine.
The basket of apples at the front desk is a nice touch.

Wonderful holiday resort. Our experience far exceeded our expectations. For a little extra cost, the upgrade with water views was definitely worth it. The apartment had everything one needs for a comfortable stay:
The apartment: full kitchen facilities, laundry has washing machine & dryer, tv in lounge and bedroom, aircon and heating, free wifi.
General facilities: heated pool, spa & sauna, cafe downstairs open early morning until 5 pm, games room, gym.
Overall experience: the friendlist staff I have ever encountered, great choice of restaurants (highly recommend the Himalayan/Nepalese restaurant very close by - very flavoursome and the best quality of food) but also many others were within walking distance, Caloundra markets on Sunday morning around the corner, supermarkets some 20 minute stroll away, Kings Beach across the road almost, relaxing boardwalk stroll with plenty of coffee shops along the Esplanade. Also recommend the best game shop across the road with the friendlist man who really knows games to entertain the whole family for extra holiday fun.
The only negative: having to leave at end of holiday.

We stayed in the mountain lodge a short distance away from the main house. Great place for families to stay plus pets! Good facilities in the lodge including the kitchen, wifi and a wonderful fire. Patio out the back that is wonderful to spend time in the afternoon watching the sun set with a view of the bush and mountains. Our wonderful hosts Doug and Helen (and dog Alfie) were very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning on the deck in the sun with fantastic views!

Caloundra, in southeast Queensland, is home to seven different beaches including Currimundi Beach and Lake, named Australia's Cleanest Beach in 2004. Only Dicky Beach and Kings Beach have year-round lifeguard patrols. Just inland from Caloundra are two interesting sites: Australia Zoo, owned by Terri Irwin, and Glass House Mountains National Park.
