We have been to Calistoga many times . This time we decided to stay at the Mountain View Hotel.
One down side of the reservation was check in time at 4 pm. When we attempted to check in early; The reception
said the room had been vacated late and the room was not going to available earlier than 4 pm.
We returned at 3:30pm and the room was ready. The hotel is older and no elevator. The room was nicely decorated.
Flat screen tv, refrigerator, safe, dvd ( which didn't work). There is a hot tub and a pool. They have onsite spa which
provides baths and massage, facials. We tried the couple's bath and massage. It was pricey, but I had checked
prices everywhere in Calistoga and it was about average. The original reservation came with the a continental breakfast, but the reception said they have recently changed this policy and gave us a $20 voucher for the restaurant, Johnny's. The one complaint I had was the bed looked comfortable, but was horrible.

We had the pleasure of staying at Luxe Calistoga while visiting the area for a concert. We were completely amazed during our stay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It has been completely remodeled and the rooms are gorgeous. No detail has been overlooked and the hotel has a warm and inviting feel. The wrap around porch was the perfect setting for brunch and an evening glass of wine. But on top of this, the owners (Brent & Chris) go above and beyond to create an outstanding experience. Their knowledge of the area and their connections with the local wineries & restaurants was unbelievable. I can't express how much we appreciated them. They truly made our stay amazing!

I enjoyed my stay at the Chelsea Garden Inn so much that I will definitely return in the future. The friendly staff was very accommodating and helpful. The inn is so close to town that you can easily walk to shops, spas, and restaurants. I stayed in the charming two bedroom Lavender Suite, which was nicely decorated and quite comfortable. It had everything I needed - TV, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, toiletries, iron and ironing board, comfortable chairs and beds. Breakfast is usually served at 8:30 a.m., but Jennifer, my wonderful hostess, provided me with an early continental breakfast, so that I could literally get on the road in time for my bike tour. This place has beautiful accommodations, great food, and outstanding service.

Cradled in north Napa Valley, Calistoga became known for its healing mineral waters in the 1860s. Today, spas pamper guests with volcanic mud baths and hot-spring soaks. Calistoga offers superb wineries, such as the hilltop Sterling Vineyards, accessed by aerial tram. Nearby geologic attractions include the ancient redwoods of The Petrified Forest and the 75-foot Old Faithful Geyser of California.
