Katie, the receptionist was stellar - she is the role model for every hotel - friendly, helpful, accomodating & knowledgable. I would rebook & recomend this hotel to others simply because of her.
Out room was clean & tidy & a good size. The only negative was the pub across the road. It was noisy. Being a Sunday night, it closed at midnight & by 12:10, all was quiet, however I would have requested a room away from that side had I been aware.
For people staying with children, as I was, it is an important request if they are light sleepers. This is the one exception to an excellent stay.

Hotel room clean and facilities acceptable. Room and hotel advertised as free wifi however I could only get a wifi connection on my Mac computer and only intermittently on my iPhone. The room is operated via a Samsung S smart phone and I had to use this as a Hotspot to obtain a wifi signal on my iPhone. This was frustrating as it disconnected after a short period. This was reviewed on site by staff, but a solution could not be provided other than using a hotspot.
The Samsung phone was also supposed to offer free local telephone calls, but any local number tried returned a not available error message and the only way to get an outside line was via reception. The smart phone also worked the air con, lighting etc. However, the " Make my Room" facility which was supposed to light an led icon on the outside corridor wall only worked once. This resulted in the old fashioned hanging of the Tidy Room card on the door handle. In summary, the use of the Samsung phone was frustrating and didn't quite work as intended.
The terrace pool was also at times not very private as the pool terrace bar was open to the public and thus a private relaxing swim was out of the question especially on Friday evenings or when the bar was busiest.
Restaurant menu was also the same every night of the week.

"Nice Hotel in ideal location for my business needs"
check in was very busy as a bus load of tourists just arrived. After weaving my way through the crowd where everyone was just standing all around reception I was served promptly with priority by reception staff. Not a bad experience overall.

Great hotel for the price! Stayed the weekend with 2 friends and there was plenty of room. Check in stated at 2pm but we arrived at 11am and to our surprise the room was ready that early! Can't say it happens all the time, but worth checking out if you can park somewhere close. However driving up the huge hill, there is no signs pointing you where reception is, so I was a little lost as to where we could pull up and check in. No issues with check in, paid the deposit easily and the lifts were quick. Stayed on the top floor - level 9 but we didn't have a river view. This meant it was on the road side and if you kept the window open, you could quiet easily hear all the traffic. NB keep the windows closed lol. When we walked into the room, it was hot but only because you have to place a power key in the wall to start everything up, so the first 10 mins was hot waiting for the aircon to kick in. Not sure if this is on every level but our room had a upstairs, 1 queen bed downstairs and the 2 x single beds up stairs which was great for privacy. Didn't use the kitchen apart from the fridge, enough room for snacks and that. The bathroom shared with the laundry tub and machines but space wasn't compromised. Overall, the stay was pleasant and right by the story bridge. Caught ubers to the city/fortitude valley - costs around $10 rather than a 20-30 min walk.

This is a beautiful hotel. The staff are second to none. I have never seen a room and bathroom kept so spotless. Excellent beds, free underground car park was a bonus and a good little gym. A couple of nice touches were the bottles of water and the evening turn down (with chocolates). Included in the room is a good size wardrobe, tea and coffee and a safe.
