I've worked in the hospitality industry in Mexico for more than 15 years and I have been in many hotels for business and pleasure. This fairmont is one of the best hotels that I have stayed. The service and the hotel is impecable and the hotel is in immaculate condition.
Decoration is quite nice.
The whole experience couldn't have been better. Fairmont is one of the best hotels chain around the world.

Small.but comfortable room with a view and a balcony. It was a 1 minute walk from my ferry stop and in the middle of the harbor so everything was walkable and close to the hotel. Great pool and gym available. It was totally stress free from check in to check out, and they were glad to hold my luggage for the late ferry.

Great location...easy access to downtown by water taxi...dont rely on the hotels shuttle service to get you somewhere at a certain time as you cannot reserve a head...first come first serve. Beautiful views. Absolutely awesome food IN the restaurant...room service was slow/late and cold. Super clean, spacious rooms but our bed was terribly uncomfortable and upstairs noise at night and early morn...sounded like we were under a laundry or some kind of maids supply room. You are on the harbor so expect boat and float plane noise which is a given in any harbor. Gorgeous indoor/outdoor pool but was missing some floor tiles and grout looked really dirty in a couple places...that sort of thing should be dealt with in the off season. We were there in July. No one greeted us when we pulled up...no help with baggage...no vallet as far as I could tell...we parked ourselves. Overall, in my opinion, not quite worth the $400 a night we paid.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Huntingdon Manor. The pros: Complimentary breakfast, free covered parking, perfect location withing walking distance from the waterfront, fisherman's wharf and other tourist attractions AND pet friendly (25dlls per night).
Our room was located in the first floor (pet friendly floor) and even on Canada Day we couldn't really here any noise from the streets. We had 2 big queen beds and plenty of space for our pup, although I would've loved some more closet space. I had trouble with the huge pillows that were left in our room (made my neck hurt after the first night) but the staff was nice enough to provide me with a thinner, "less fluffy" pillow when I requested it. My only complaint would be the shower. The hotel is clearly "old" and plumbing might need a bit of a revamp. Water temperature in the shower was tricky to regulate, it kept going from freezing to scorching so we had to take really quick showers to avoid discomfort.
Overall a good experience.

Our experience at Harbour Towers is always wonderful. We travel for business and since we're a VIP Expedia members we got some great perks and the cost was excellent for the location. They have free breakfast (a good one), great sized gym and as long as your on the top floors - excellent views! Highly recommend. Wifi is decent for business travellers.

Brentwood Bay is on the Saanich Inlet’s eastern coast, approximately 20 km (12.5 mi) north of downtown Victoria. The famous Butchart Gardens and the Victoria Butterfly Gardens are among the area’s attractions. Kayakers, hikers, and divers gravitate to Brentwood Bay, lured by the natural terrain and the bay’s artificial reef. The Saanich Fall Fair and Central Saanich Days close the summer.
