"Stay was too short!"
From the reception to our departure the staff was superb. Their restaurant was closed the night we arrived. A car and driver took us to our choice of nearby open restaurants and picked us up so we did not need to drive in the strange town at night. The breakfasts and dinners that followed there were awesome. Personal touch at every turn. Room with the best bath delightful.

    Pocket Guide: Perigord Brantome Hotels

On a tree-lined bend of the River Dronne, this abbey town is quieter and more rural than many parts of the Dordogne. The main attraction for visitors is a medieval Benedictine complex, clustered around a prominent 11th-century bell tower. The wooded rock face behind is riddled with caves, some inhabited and one containing a stone-cut crucifixion scene. The Musée Rêve et Miniatures is home to a collection of dolls’ houses.
