Beautiful Victorian building and over the road from the station with free parking so very handy. Rooms have high ceilings and nice decor, and are clean. Decent bath and shower, not much storage but okay for a few days.
Where it fell down was the service; on arrival, big line to check in, one lady doing her best on the desk while others were doing other things. Had two breakfasts, arrived with over half an hour left to go for each, no pastries left, no cups or glasses out, half the hot food needing replenishing, and when it was it wasn't the nicest. We had a lie in and found a café to breakfast in on the third day. The one day when we needed our room changed we put the 'please service our room' sign up at noon (two hours left before end of shift) and it didn't happen.
There was a wedding on this weekend and it was a bank holiday. That's understandable but if you know things are happening in advance there should be planning in place to be able to deal with them. Besides I read similar recent reviews so it seems it wasn't just us.

Our first room's bathroom door lock was out of order, so I was locked in the bathroom for half an hour. The staff took care of it and helped us to change to a new room and gave complementary drinks. We were charged twice through debit card via advance booking through Expedia and cash at check-in. But I got the refund in the end. Although there were some unfortunate things happened, the room is overall nice and the staff are really helpful and friendly.

We were travelling north for our family holidays and decided to book a last minute stop halfway along the journey. We initially chose the hotel based on price and was pleased to see very good reviews on this site. We would have no hesitation in returning and enjoyed the self catering option over a traditional B&B.

Home to half a million people, Bradford used to be part of the heart of Britain's heavy industry. Nowadays, it is an emerging tourist destination and home to the National Media Museum, Cartwright Hall, and Saltaire. The latter, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a Victorian era model village and a so-called anchor point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
