"Good location, tiny rooms"
The hotel is beautiful and maintains the charm of the original hotel. The rooms also maintain their original tiny size so it was cramped in the room. There was one chair with a side table and no dresser or drawers for clothes. I don't mind living out of my suitcase but it is nice to have some space to put a few things besides the ground around your suitcase. On the plus side, the beds were extremely comfortable. The safe was very helpful and friendly. Services brought all items requested quickly to the room including sunglasses from the valet. The valet has hidden fees so it ends up being $60 per night instead of the advertised $48. Also your car has to be out by 2pm on checkout day to avoid a late charge so if you are staying in the city until late in the day, be prepared to move your car.

"PERFECTION!"
The view from the 19th floor was postcard perfect. The facilities are first-rate. The staff from the doormen to room service are wonderful. Everything I tried on the room service menu was better than expected. The conference facilities and foodservice were first rate. One of the best hotel stays ever.

"Beautiful riverside hotel!"
Royal sonesta was in a perfect location for our trip to Boston! Close to our son's graduation, walking distance to the museum of science, shopping area, Starbucks, and plenty of great places to eat! The staff was helpful and provided us with the top dollar experience. Onsite they have a lovely cafe with great coffee/tea, muffins and a delicious assortment of tortes, cookies, and muffins to put in the room fridge for that late night snack. There are three full restaurants on site providing casual or upscale dining depending on the "experience" you desire for that particular meal. Overall, the hotel was fantasitcally maintained, gave us first rate service, and providing a comfy bed during our time in Boston.

"A seriously good hotel."
Pretty much everything about this place is top-notch. The location is scenic, the staff are gracious, cool and accommodating (props to the likes of Khalid, John and Rafael). The hotel itself boasts quality and comfort - sprawling comfort. The en-suite bathroom alone is huge. The rooms are even bigger. The beds will sleep at least two, and there's a/c, along with a massive TV and a drinks fridge.

"Great location, very nice hotel"
We stayed here before, 2 years ago on out first son university scouts in Boston, loved it so much we came back for second son university scouting. The location is great you can walk almost anywhere or get on the subway, the green line. there is a lovely super market and loads of shops and restaurants a few minutes walk away. The rooms are great, we were on 11th floor with great views, watching the world go by and a cloudy day turning to a sunny evening. We have a couple of little complaints, I don't think they have sound proofing. I could here every door opening and closing on our floor as well as a few conversations in the corridors, late at night. The last small but annoying thing, we bought some wine and champagne from home, as it was mothers day weekend. We thought we could either put in the mini bar or bucket full of ice, but no! It looked like maybe there was previously a fridge, not anymore and no way of carrying or storing ice, no ice bucket, there was a ice machine a few doors down. We did however find a way of cooling the champagne a plastic bag to carry ice from tje machine to our room, poured ice in to sink and hay presto, cool champagne. In conclusion, I would come back again as I like the boutique feel of this hotel and it's great location. fingers crossed my son gets into the University he wants, I will be back.

    Explore Boston

History is alive in Boston, where office workers and students rush past tourists tracing America’s revolutionary beginnings on the Freedom Trail. In Beacon Hill, cobblestone streets are lined with 19th-century brownstones housing antique shops and restaurants (yes, including Cheers). Amazing museums, gorgeous parks and superstar sports teams make Beantown a visitor favorite.

Founded in 1630, Boston is one of America’s oldest cities and played a crucial role in the American Revolution. Stroll the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail through 16 historic sites, starting at Boston Commons and ending at the USS Constitution, first launched in 1797.

Shop chic boutiques on Newbury Street in Back Bay, enjoy a cannoli from Mike's Pastry in the Italian North End, or try the original Boston Cream Pie at the Omni Parker House. Who serves the best clam chowder? It’s a topic of fierce debate – sample a few and decide for yourself. Top colleges and universities fill the area with brainpower and youthful energy. Head across the Charles River to Cambridge to explore the Harvard and MIT campuses.
