Me, hubbie and two girls (8 & 4) logged at Flamingo Motel for 3 days in 2017 Spring break, got a room on the second floor. Loved the salty/warm water swimming pool which was a great addition as an activity for the kids. (Yes after whole day in the beach they still wanted to go there) . As we were early birds we had no issues finding a spot in one of the lovely Tiki Hubs. The breakfast quality was pretty good. The whole environment was really good and relaxing. We did not experience much the kindness of the personnel since we almost did not see them, but I guess is because we left everyday early and returned late. The room was very spacious, did not have a closet but it was ok.
The location is awesome. 9 minutes to Lovers Keys, 11 min to Barefoot Beach, even less for the Bonita Public Beach. Walking distance to an Italian Restaurant (Crossing the street, be aware of traffic though!) and a block from Sweet Melissa’s Ice Cream (Do go to the Ice Cream place, GREAT!). Go East, and you will get to Flamingo Flea market, nice shopping in a safe environment.
Overall you can not beat the price for the location and services.
The one main thing for improvement is the carpet. I could not allow my children to be barefoot because their feet sole will become black in minutes. That carpet needs to be changed. Also (minor) if possible upgrade the bathtub, it is super old, not easy to set the shower water drainage.

Bonita Springs is located both on Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. It is home to Barefoot Beach Preserve Park, one of the last undeveloped barrier islands on Florida's southwest coast. Bonita Springs is also west of the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, a bald cypress reserve managed by the National Audubon Society.
