"Relaxing Mountain Lodge"
My wife had been begging me to take her on a trip to the Asheville region. I had never been, but she went in college, loved it, and convinced me. We found the quaint My Place Inn online. It met our initial needs -- quiet, charming, and close to Asheville. When we arrived to My Place Inn, I was ecstatic. The building was beautiful. As we settled in we were comforted by the mountain serenity. Our room, the Allegheny Room, was a spacious and historic, yet modern, room. The green walls were reminiscent of the leaves of the many trees surrounding the property, and the bed was both spacious and comfortable. While our primary goal was to explore and enjoy Asheville (which is just a short hop on I-40 from Black Mountain), the owners of the inn encouraged us to check out downtown Black Mountain. I'm glad we did, as it's a hidden gem with very cool bars and restaurants. Both my wife and I are already trying to figure out the next time we can make it down to Asheville, and we'll be sure to stay at My Place Inn again.

"Decent place to stay in the area."
I did not hang out at the Inn. Was hiking and sight seeing. The Innkeeper did not show me the house. Just pointed to the dining area and showed me to my room. She was nice and gave directions to Chimney Rock which is the reason I was in the area.
