"SD Vacation"
Loved the see and the cleanliness of the bathroom and sleeping area. The beds have a ridge on the top that hit the backs offer legs which uncomfortable. The Breakfast was very good and there was more than adiquite setting. The pools facility's were also vary nice. Could use 2 more table and chairs set. Out door pool was very clean, which was my personal favorite, husband loved the hot tub and our grand daughter thought all of them were her favorites. Awesome trip, can't wait to come back !!

"Nice Hotel Close to Custer SD"
Staff are excellent. Hotel is somewhat rustic but charming. Cleaning staff should be commended as our room was very cleaned throughout our stay. The room is small but certainly met our needs. Balcony was very nice!

"Nice hotel"
Nice hotel rooms were big and clean. Beds comfy. Room darkening shade. Within walking distance to all the action downtown but also have a trolley that stops every 30 minutes. Pool area was really nice the hotel is connected to the Spring Hill suites so get to share their pool. There is a restaurant on site we didn't try and also a Starbucks and was lucky at the casino so a great stay!

"The Perfect Place"
I absolutely loved this hotel. It's a little old, in a charming way. It's a little noisy, especially when the tourist train is running and there's a summer thunder storm. It's in an amazing and majestic location, and has the friendliest and most helpful staff and employees. I drove from San Jose to Philadelphia and back, and this was my favorite place to stay. It feels like family. I extended my stay an extra day because I was so reluctant to leave, and I hope to come back one day. But if you are into modern luxury and frills, this may not be the place for you. It's definitely the place for me.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We needed a cot and that was delivered right away. The breakfast could have been improved upon but we certainly did not go hungry!!! It was quiet.

"Beautiful lodge situated along Spearfish Canyon"
This was our third stay at this lodge. We enjoy the beautiful nature in this area.. The room was clean and comfortable. The only glitch in our visit was that we had planned to enjoy a pizza from the bar, as we had done once previously. We weren't impressed with the restaurant across the road on our last visit. However the bartender informed us that they were "out of pizza" and that we could eat at the restaurant. Since the lodge is miles from town, this was the only food choice available.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Black Hills National Forest hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
