Fabulous pool and bar area on the roof with great views over Biarritz. A 15 min uphill scenic walk back from town and beach but great to come back after a long hot day to swim in the pool. Restaurant on the roof looks good and not too expensive but didn't try it as prefer the buz of the in town bars.

First time in Biarritz, which is hugely characterful, classy and mixed from sprightly swimming old folk to surf dudes.
This is a 1970s style hotel, recently updated (in our room with new bathroom and nice big bed), well located and with parking underneath. Rooms at the front facing the road can be a bit noisy. Our patio window had been cracked and taped up, which looked a bit unsightly.

Location of this hotel is the absolute selling point. It is located right in the centre of town, on a street popular for local restaurants and bars. It's a ten minute walk to the surfing beach and other two beaches in Biarritz.
The hotel isn't anything too special. Our room on the ground floor lacked any natural light and the staff in the hotel were not as attentive as would normally be expected from a 4* hotel (there usually wasn't someone at the front desk and we lacked the usual toiletries in our bathroom and on one day we were left with no towels in our bathroom).
For the price, it was good value given the excellent location, but overall a basic 4* hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights in Biarritz as part of a tour of northern Spain/southern France. We were driving and the hotel was hard to find as there are lots of one way streets around the town.
The staff were excellent and gave us good directions to the nearest car park.
The room itself was tiny, (we'd booked a standard double room) we had 2 weeks worth of luggage with us and it was difficult to move around the room once we'd unloaded all of the luggage out of the car. It would be OK for a weekend visit, but I would suggest to upgrade to a larger room if you decide to stay here for any longer.
On the plus side the location is excellent with plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby. There is a small non smoking beach within a 2 minute walk of the hotel. The larger beach is a little further away.
Breakfast is served on a lovely terrace. The hotel is quiet and quirky with only 12 rooms.

Biarritz, renowned for its beautiful coastline and rocks in the sea, lies on the Bay of Biscay in southwestern France. Stretches of sandy shore at Grand Plage beckon surfers from all over the world to challenge these Basque coast waves. Off the beach, Biarritz provides abundant leisure with museums, festivals, cafés, and thalassotherapy spas, not to mention multiple golf courses located nearby.
