I like this hotel even though just little old building.
Good location(many things located walking distance )
Friendly staff(we overslept and late for breakfast but staff in restaurant made special meal for my family).

This hotel is close to the Central Train Station. Thus it is a walking distance away for us to take the tour of "Norway in a nutshell" which starts and ends at the Central Train Station. The hotel provided a place for us to leave luggage during our tour since we have to leave early at 6.30 am, and came back at 7.30pm

The young man at the front desk on arrival was both extremely patient and helpful. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet during the day. National Day night was a very different experience with drunken revelers and a loose drain cover on the road that clanged whenever a vehicle past over it. Otherwise, we highly recommend this hotel.

Pretty good in most respects, but we were not too thrilled on finding we could scarcely stand up straight in our "Junior Suite" situated in the attic/eaves of the hotel - these rooms are advertised online as having 29-58 sq m space, but this particular room had usable ('stand-uppable') floor space of scarcely 16 sq m, by my estimate.
On bringing this to their attention, the hotel staff politely said they were "aware of the situation", but unfortunately could not do anything as larger rooms were all booked. Fine, but it would have been better not to have advertised (and charged for) this rather cramped one-room space as a Junior Suite in the first place.
My grumpiness about this may be unfair - perhaps all Junior Suites in Norway are like this - i.e., more "Junior" than "Suite" - but if so, that is very different to most other countries' usage of that term, in this customer's experience.

This is great hotel in a great location. Staff was more than helpful. The only possible thing you can comment on is that is so new that there are small growing pains. The staff and their motivation to improve anything that may be found, will make this hotel top of the list very soon.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location is centrally located to everything with easy access to the train station as well as the bus to the airport. The breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend.

It started off poorly with only one staff at the check-in counter and she was managing check-ins, check-outs, guest enquiries and phone calls at the same time. As a result, the check-in was painfully slow and it didn't help that my car was illegally parked just outside the hotel because I didn't know where to park. After getting everything sorted and knowing where to park my rental vehicle, everything started becoming better. I realised that the hotel is just a short walk from Bryggen and all other attractions. The hotel also gives a 15% off the car park charges. Our first room had windows that wouldn't open, and tv that wasn't working. We managed to get a change in room and it was all fine. Breakfast is just average - i would have preferred more variety especially the hot food. Overall, a recommended hotel that is good and reasonably priced.

With about 250,000 residents, Bergen is Norway's second-largest city. It is also home to one of Europe's largest ports and is a popular port-of-call with visitors on cruise ships who flock to Norway to see the country's famous fjords. In addition to a bustling city centre with interesting shops and architecture, Bergen is also home to the country's largest mall, Lagune Storsenter.
