This hotel is in a perfect location about 2 blocks from the train station and a 10 minute drive from the airport, also great for walking around Bergen. The staff were very helpful and friendly and even had a hot chocolate bar setup at the check in desk. The room was spacious compared to most hotels in Norway. It was tastefully decorated and very clean. The breakfast was amazing and had something for everyone. It would be worth staying here just for the breakfast but the hotel is also worth the stay. The restaurant upstairs is quite fancy but the food was great and worth the cost. I would definitely stay here again.

A brief stay in and out, and what took it out of the top rating was a few weird problems with components of the room, necessitating one room change due to a sink that wouldn't drain at all (so washing up or brushing teeth impossible eventually without sink overflowing) followed by a second annoying problem in the new room (hairdryer shut off after about 30 seconds of use, and had to cool down before using it again). That said, the room looked great and the young lady at the desk was very helpful, moving me to a nicer room next-door due to the sink problem.

My room was quiet, in keeping with what I had requested. It was very spacious with comfortable armchairs and a bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower. It had a traditional feel with tasteful art work. The bed was very comfortable.

Wonderful staff, perfect downtown location, we arrived early and were checked in straight away, got a room on the 5th floor with a great view. There is a separate breakfast room for families with small children, with toys and games and video playing "Frozen" while we were there

With about 250,000 residents, Bergen is Norway's second-largest city. It is also home to one of Europe's largest ports and is a popular port-of-call with visitors on cruise ships who flock to Norway to see the country's famous fjords. In addition to a bustling city centre with interesting shops and architecture, Bergen is also home to the country's largest mall, Lagune Storsenter.
