Quinta Real Oaxaca

Calle 5 De Mayo 300, Oaxaca - Map
"Conveniently located in downtown Oaxaca."
From July 1-9, my wife and I spent a wonderful time in Oaxaca. The Quinta Real Hotel is just one block from the tourist corridor where you can easily walk down to the cathedral and the main square in the city of Oaxaca. The Convento of Santo Domingo and the Museo de las Civilizaciones is just a few steps of the hotel. We visited both places and had to come back the next day to complete our visit to the museum which is awesome. There is a lot of different museums in town and we even went sightseeing in the "turibus". The hotel staff and amenities are excellent. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was simply delicious! Typical Oaxaca dishes are part of the daily buffet breakfast, which we enjoyed during 5 days of our stay. We went to eat to different restaurants as well as the Mercado 20 de Noviembre located in the main square where people gather to hear music, see couples dancing Danzón music and enjoy some other afternoon activities throughout the week. Additionally, the hotel has a small nicely equipped gym that we had for our ourselves most days as well as the pool surrounded by large green trees and a beautiful well kept garden. The weather was incredibly nice, we had the opportunity to do some tours to the ruins of Monte Alban and Hierve el Agua which is sort of a national park. You have to be there to experience what Oaxaca is about. We certainly will come back because there is a lot to do and enjoy in this magnificent state. :>)

"Perfect Location"
I knew nothing about Oaxaca or where the best area would be to stay. Turned out we had the perfect location, as the point of reference for going anywhere in the city, is the plaza that is just feet in front of the hotel. Just about everything that we wanted to see in the city was walking distance. Nothing fancy about the hotel but it had the Mexican/Spanish charm. Staff was excellent. Felt very safe there. However, if you do not like night life/night noise perhaps you should stay somewhere else on the weekend. As you hear music in the plaza up to around 2:00 a.m. I was so tired from the day, that I was able to fall asleep at around 10:00 each night with no problem. Woke up a couple of times, heard the music, and then went right back to sleep.

"Great Hotel"
If you like service and special attention then this hotel is for you! All of the staff were great and very attentive. The room was so big and beautiful (sienna room) and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast at the hotel was good. It is a continental breakfast or one could choose a hot breakfast from the menu. I was a solo female traveler and felt very safe. The staff was there to provide for directions and things to do in the town. The hotel itself is very quiet and low key. I recommend this hotel if you just need to get away, relax and have a little bit of personal attention. Thank you Antonio and Fili You guys were great!! Therese

"Location, Location, Location"
The location of this hotel could not be better, it is a short walk from the main mercados and the zocalo. The staff was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was a good option but when you think about all the delicious options just outside the door, not really worth it. Over all a good experience, I would stay there again.

Morelos 229, San Felipe del Agua, Oaxaca - Map
We loved our stay at the Xanadi. It was a quiet and comfortable and that's all we wanted. We enjoyed most of our free time at the pool. The room itself was spacious and more than comfortable. I would definately stay here again. For some people, the only draw back would be the distance from the center. For us it didn't matter, but it's at least a 3 km walk or an 80 peso taxi ride. What you get is return is a quiet safe and quiet neighborhood. The hotel comes highly recommended.

Benito Juarez National Park is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Benito Juarez National Park, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Benito Juarez National Park hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
