We enjoyed our stay at Puerto Marina very much and would definitely return again.
The hotel ticked all the boxes for us:
Good internet speed
Large spacious rooms with air-conditioning which was difinitely needed!!!
Breakfast - varied selection to suit all nationalities.
Big plus sun beds were available all day , there was no putting towels on at dawn, plenty for all.
We would highly recommend all the staff were really friendly and went the extra mile to help you .

Easy to find near beach. We found free parking on road as it was off season (November). 4 star but we did not eat there. We used kitchen facilty in room a lot. Supermarket nearby for cheap but nice Rioja wine. Staff were always friendly and helpful. I printed my Ryanair return boarding passes courtesy of the hotel staff. I booked a double but did not realise it was for single beds. I booked in a rush but did not recall an option to say we needed a double bed for me and my wife.
I did use the pool once for a refreshing November swim but the sun was still warm enough in November for me to doze off in a sun chair amongst a number of beached whales.

The ride from the airport to the hotel was pretty short (10-15 mins). Check-in process was completed smoothly and quickly.
The rooms, although big enough in size, could definitely do with some updating to the interior decorations.
Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner services were very well run, but the available options for vegeterian people (some of our travelling party were vegeterian only) were close to nothing, the hotel should definitely look into adding few more options.
Although we had paid for full-board, we still ended up eating outside the hotel at most of the times due to lack of options.
The hotel also has an arcade, however, during our 5-night stay, we found that most of the games/arcades were "out of order". 2 out of the 3 pool tables were also not in use, which was disappointing.
The swimming pools and the separate family jacuzzi pool are well looked after and maintained every day, however, the maintenance (refilling the pool etc.) is done during the night and it can disrupt sleep.
The hotel is pretty close to the Marina and a shopping centre where you will find a lot of options for food and for local shopping.
The aquarium is also close by and the marine life in there is different to what we see in the UK.
The highlight of the attractions near the hotel has to be the cable car, which is 20-30 minutes walking distance from the hotel and the view from the top of the mountains is spectacular.

Great hotel. Great views. A bit on the expensive side but very relaxed. Great pool and lovely breakfast. We stayed in a sea view room (202) which was clean although please be aware there are building works which have just started in august just below the hotel and we were not informed of this. This caused us excess noise into room and were unable to open french doors due to noise.explained this to staff who were not interested in my concerns.

"High quality hotel near beach, bars and supermarke"
I would definitely recommend this hotel. We arrived At 10.30am and although the check in time was 5pm our room was ready. The hotel reception was very impressive and this continued in our apartment. Although our apartment was a bit on the small side for four of us (two teenage sons) everything else was perfect. The kitchen was the highest spec we have ever had in an apartment and the decor throughout was of an extremely high standard. We were on the eighth floor overlooking the pool and had wonderful sea views. The balcony was a great size although we only had sun on it for a couple of hours midday but this wasn't a problem as it meant we could sit out there without roasting.
The location of the hotel was great as the beach was literally at the end of the road, the supermarket and a range of bars and restaurants were around the corner. The only slight downside was that it was quite a walk from the marina but we'd take a taxi down (€8) and stroll back.
This hotel wasn't our first choice as we would ideally have liked a 2 bed apartment which wasn't available here but I'm so glad we finally decided to try it. I liked it so much I'm now looking at visiting one of their other hotels around Europe.

Benalmadena divides into two discrete parts: five kilometres inland is the original quiet, traditional, whitewashed village; on the coast is the new seaside resort of Benalmadena Costa, featuring a lively glitzy marina. The latter adjoins the less frenetic end of Torremolinos, with its sandy beaches, myriad family attractions and good water sports facilities.
