The LA Sky Hotel satisfied all our needs. We were only there one night, and found it to be a well-located, comfortable place to stay. Pass on the breakfast, thuogh. Go across the street to Lenny's Bakery and Deli.

At first I was wary of new building plunked into middle of grounds. I hate elevators and was hoping for one if the traditional rooms near the pool. The good news is the new rooms are very posh...I could go on and on about the toilet but there's the huge patio, outdoor fire and private hot tub. The room itself is sort of cave like. But no other hotel has gardens and swans and a bar with real FP and Wolfgang Puck chef. Nice pool.

Checked in and the clerk was nice enough to upgrade us to a room with a new bathroom. Rooms are rather small, but nicely furnished, clean, and comfortable. Linens are nice. Bathroom spotless. we had a refrigerator and coffee maker that was very nice to have. Cute little fountain area to sit and enjoy a drink. Breakfast had nice pastries, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit. Really like this hotel. Great place to stay near UCLA and other areas.

Very short walk to UCLA campus and Westwood Village. Lots of nearby restaurants. My kind of continental breakfast -- juice, cold cereals, bakery donuts and latte/cappuccino machine. My second floor room was small, but quiet and absolutely fine for an overnight stay. WiFi provided, but not much work space in room.
