We stayed at Abbaye de Maizieire for two nights. Very cool hotel , with. A great location adjacent to the Cathedral. Our room was on the third, top floor, with no lift. And the bedroom was lofted, with bathroom on lower level. About 115 steps up spiral staircase, which provided an aerobic workout. But elderly or other guests with any physical limitations should be forewarned. Fortunately we exchange rooms with friends, and new room was perfect: spacious, well lit, comfortable bed and air conditioning.
Staff is extraordinary: provided restaurant recommendations, carried heavy bags up three flights, and arranged for pharmacy to stay open when an illness developed.

After much searching and reading of Trip Advisor reviews we selected l'Hotel de Beaune for our weeklong stay in Burgundy. We could not have been happier with our choice! The room was brand new, spacious, and very comfortable for us. The hotel is excellently located in the heart of the things we wanted to see and visit in Beaune. And the most wonderful staff there was happily ready to help us with anything we asked - dinner reservations, things we needed for our room, advice on local travel things, etc. They made our stay in Beaune a truly memorable experience - thanks so much to Alexis, Thomas, and Marie-Aurelie!

Great location to both the old town and the railroad station. Excellent breakfast for the best price of our time in France. The staff was very helpful and friendly and recommended great places to eat and taste the fine burgundies. Very happy with the entire experience that made our stay in beaune a real treat

They have only a few rooms, so no reception area. Our room was literally right off the street, as if we were a local. The combination to get into the door was pre-programmed to be our cell phone number. So it was nice not having to carry around a key. The bathroom was immaculate. The room itself was oddly laid out, but they did the best they could with the limited square footage. They stocked the room with a full bottle of still water everyday. And had a small kitchenette for making tea and coffee, with some basic plates etc too. There are ~10 stairs to get into the room, so make sure you can lift your suitcase all that way. Wifi signal was really good. Bathroom door lock didn't work. Overall a really nice place and highly recommended.

Surrounded by renowned French wineries, Beaune is considered the capital of Burgundy wine country and the ideal base for wine tourism in the region. This walled city maintains its cluster of narrow streets and old-world charm in the city center, filled with shops and cafes. The Saturday fine foods market, dating to medieval times, is a must see, as is the Burgundy Wine Museum.
