The place should be rated 3-star! Read the good & alleged stories (only was told one side of it or perhaps a competitor). Live in W.LA. my office is in BH. Have seen & been to many places. Have an early meeting tomirrow in Brea. Could not find a decent place tonight. Took a chance. Decided to show up with a positive attitude. Saw nothing but smile & help! What a bargain. Clean, up-to-date, & refreshing!

We enjoyed seeing the Navy ships going by from our Bayview room. It was close to the beach and good walking trails along the beach. The hotel is getting old and needs some updating especially the carpet. The floor in the room was fake wood linoleum and was very dirty. Should have been mopped to clean.

Clean and friendly hotel. Great location, right at the edge of all the action of Ocean Beach and right across the street from the ocean. Great view of the pier. Everything you need is in walking distance. The hotel lacked amenities, no coffee pot or microwave in room, only a fridge. Bathroom is small as is the room. You come here for the ocean and charm of Ocean Beach.

Shamar at the front desk was very courteous & accommodating. The first room we got was on the 4th floor which had construction going on. Construction items were all over the hall way. 1st room stunk of cigarettes. Next room was 5th floor & it had a chemical smell. 3rd room was also on the 5th floor & much better than the other 2 rooms. Only thing it had a pretty bad leak coming from the tub faucet. Little annoying but closed the bathroom door & notified Shamar of the issue. Only complaint... the hot water didn't work to well. The showers were a little to cold for comfort. Other than that, our stay was good. Worth it for the budget minded folk. Best value for your buck. They had coffee, Danish & muffins out every morning which was nice...Location was excellent for walking to restaurants & grocery store. Thumbs up.

During warm weather, crowds pack the waters off Mission Beach and Pacific Beach, two of the most popular stretches of San Diego sand. These laidback locales are known to host the occasional farmer’s market or arts festival. Mission Boulevard connects both beaches and leads north to La Jolla.
