Colour scheme was squashed Kermit & very dated. Seats were 1 hard wood chair & a wooden stool type chair. Not used for long so not a major problem. Bed comfortable, bathroom large, clean & plenty of hot water. Cooling system needs upgrade.
It is very difficult to park near your room unless you are among the first arrivals.
Locations of reception & eating area should be reversed as reception is tucked away out of site.

Lift initially out of action, so reaching the fourth floor involved wriggling past laundry skips and kitchen mops to use the service lift. But after a couple of days it was back in action - charming old wire cage affair with a bench.
Couldn't turn down the a/c, a bit stuffy, but opening the window easily fixed that.
But all round, very good value accommodation.

Excellent overnight stay in this hotel with our two dogs. We were able to relax, knowing our dogs were in the warmth of the room with us, instead of having to stay in the car outside.
The car was safe and locked behind very secure gates.
The only thing we could complain about was the room service. As I had not been well, I decided I would order a meal as I was too unwell to go to a local restaurant. The meals were indescribable. A tiny bit of mash potato with some meat on top and 4 leaves of lettuce. A toasty that was supposed to be chicken and mushroom, which was inedible.
The breakfast was good with a small variety to choose from.

Very easy to find and comfortable . Food was reasonable. We were very confused about the bill which initially we thought had been taken by Expedia. We were assured it had not been and then it seemed we had been charged twice by the hotel itself. As far as we can see at the moment on returning home , the charge was only taken once but the system was really confusing.

We were three people - two adults and a child - but we kept getting only 2 towels every day. Other than that hotel was reasonable, but no frills. Minuscule bathroom. Unbeatable value for money. No major complaints, so would use again.

The town of Bayonne is six kilometres from the Atlantic coast, at the confluence of the Nive and Adour rivers. The Nive divides Bayonne into two quarters spanned by five bridges. Grand Bayonne has narrow pedestrian streets lined with shops, towered over by the Gothic spires of the Cathedrale Sainte-Marie. Petit Bayonne is home to lively Basque bars, museums, and picturesque 16th-century houses.
